i have my little boy on formula as i can not breastfeed my babies... there is a quota thing that nurses do at the maternity ward and it tells u how much they should have in there bottles, but i can not figure it out, sometimes i think he will tell me when he is full like a breast they don't have measurements on them to say how much the baby had drunk...if anyone knows how to work it out please tell me :P

When I examined myself today, my scar is jagged and puckered, not smooth, and my vaginal opening seems larger than before. Before I see my doctor, I would like an opinion about the expected size of my vaginal opening and the state of my perineum. Will these changes last?

me and my girl both have aids. since we have nothing to lose, we have unprotected sex. she found out that she is now pregnant. i was told by my doctor that i am sterile, but we are sure it's mine. should we let our unborn child suffer as we have, or should we just kill it? christians please do not answer this because your opinions do NOT count in the real world.

i am nursing my son and things are going well. however, we want my husband to participate in feedings and i also want to start freezing a good supply for when i go back to work.

anyway....i tried pumping for the first time today and i had no problems with the pumping or the let-down. the problem is that i can't get ahead of the game.

would it be an issue to use formula for about 2 feedings so i can get a supply started and get ahead of his feedings??

any thoughts appreciated!

thanks!

My four month old daughter refuses to take a bottle, she'd taken it a few times when she was younger but as of late will have nothing to do with one. Now that college has started up again I'd like to be able to go to class without having to worry if she's getting hungery. The longest I'm away for is only 3 hours, but that still seems a long time for a baby to go without eating. How do I get her to take a bottle?
I've tried both expressed milk and formula, and she refuses solids.

I've always wondered at what age a baby stops being a newborn & starts being considered an infant. And when do they become toddlers?

I love the Tiffany print, but then I'll have to use this car seat every day for the next 4 years.

Thanks.

My daughter has been extra fussy... We live in Texas so the weather has been changing alot ( Southeast Coast) She is crying alot but I don't think it is colic, I try to feed her and she will eat and then when I go to burp her she just like throws it all up I'm talking everything, I burp her every 2 oz's. and It's not just spit up it's like projectile. The only thing she does NOT have is a fever, I gave her 0.2 mL of infant tylenol earlier today at about 4p, it is now 830p. now she is finally calmed down and laying on my husbands chest sleeping.

I just stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks ago and she just turned 8 weeks, and she had been doing real good with the Enfamil LIPIL w/ Iron all up until now.

and last night when she "threw up" it was a tad bit chunky,
any suggestions?

and if its worse tommorow I will just take her to the Dr. I guess even though I don't think they can do anything

Thanks.

Our daughter Elisabeth, is now 7 months old, and we are realizing that saying "Elisabeth" all the time is quite a mouthfull. Do you have any suggestions for nicknames that are unique (not Beth, Liz, etc.) and don't use a "z" (since she doesn't have one!)? Any ideas would be great! Thanks.

A good friend of mine wants to use some formula cases she has had since her first one was born. The cans have been expired now for a couple of months and her and her husband want to still use 'em for their newborn that should be here in a week. I personally could never do something like that but then again she has a point. "Are we poisoning all the children in Mexico and Africa when we give them our expired cans?" Good Question, I told her.

I have read that if the baby's room is too warm, it can increase the risk for SIDS. However, I can't find what temperature a baby's room should be. My guess would be between 68 to 70. Does anybody know for sure?

Just curious for a new born (3 days old) how much should they be eating in a day? Some say 1 to 2 ounces every 2-3 hours? I fed her this morning around 7-8 a.m. and she drank a good 3 ounces but has not drank much else today. MAYBE an ounce every 4 hours. Now she has been pooping normal, so im hoping she is just really tired. Im really worried since this is my first baby and all so all the help i can get is REALLY appreciated :-) thanks
