I have read that if the baby's room is too warm, it can increase the risk for SIDS. However, I can't find what temperature a baby's room should be. My guess would be between 68 to 70. Does anybody know for sure?

For me could be 70 to 74, this is pretty fresh for a baby to sleep OK, just with a lite pajamas.

Every baby is different. If you are comfortable, then the baby will be too. My daughter does not sweat so she can't control her temperature. She can spike a 105 temp from being hot. So we usually keep it between 65-68 in our house. She sleeps with one fleece blanket. If she gets cool, then I just put an extra light blanket on her. I on the other hand usually freeze at night. So I have more cover than she does. lol. Just do what feels right. If the baby feels warm to the touch, then he/she is fine.

My sons' pediatrician said the temperature in the house should stay at between 68-72 year round.

i have 2 and 1/2 years old daughter so i have been in this situation. best thing to do is have the temperature what you will normally should have in the house and dress babies accordingly. its said that we should dress baby up like we do. i used to feel too cold after delivery and so i used to have high heater and in the morning i would see my daugther all sweaty. i realized after a few days that its just me.. and touch baby's body once in a while for example chest and see if he/she is not too warm or cold or seating, etc. i hope this helped.. if you want specific number i would say 68 degrees. go to babycenter.com if you like.

If you are comfortable, they are comfortable. They can dress how you dress. Many older women think a baby has to be bundled up at all times....so not true. If a baby is over heated or too cool, there is a risk for SIDS

Your pediatrician knows best but for now I'd say 75 degrees. That is what all my books say.
