my son is 3 1/2 months, and lately he's been coughing a lot it seems.. he's not running a fever, or crying more than usual, or not eating.. he just coughs and kinda laughs a little-it doesn't seem to bother him, but it's bothering me a bit. The weather is also changing and both me and my husband are very sensative to that, maybe it's because of the weather.. Any advice or experience??

My 7 month is standing while holding furniture. Since this seems to be fairly early, will it increase the chances for him to have bow legs?

I just took my one month old to the doctor this week and she said she wanted to send her in for an ultrasound on her hip to make sure she doesn't have hip dysplasia...she says her hip is making a clicking noise.

Has anyone ever had to deal with this. What are the symptoms? Wouldn't you think that she wouldn't be able to move her leg or something? Wouldn't it be painful?

My son will not take a nap in the afternoon. In the past hour I have rocked him twice and put him down but he wakes up within a few minutes crying. He would sleep all afternoon if I held him but I'm not willing to do that, at least not yet. I know he's tired, he's been up for 3 1/2 hours and is fussy and rubbing his eyes. What do you suggest? Should I let him cry it out and for how long? This has just started happening the past few days. He is 4 months old.

I do mix his formula with the solids, but worried that he may not get enough water.

My friend just called me to say that her cousin just gave birth to a baby at 28 weeks gestation, and was wondering what she should get as a present because the family was throwing her a baby shower. My thought was that they should wait until the baby is home and healthy from the hospital as it is on a respirator and is severely under-developed.
What if god forbid something happened and the poor mother either has to look at all the memories of a child she never got to bring home or has to go through the pain of returning everything.
I suggested if she felt she needed to buy the mom something, she should get her a massage package (as this is an extremely stressful time) or a keepsake for the baby, or even offer to help out around the house (the mother has another child at home) and cover some of the hospital expenses (ie. parking pass).

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas??

Any suggestions on how to get my 9 month old grandchild to eat solid foods? Is she too young for finger foods? Can she have finger foods even if she doesn't have any teeth in yet? Helpful advice is appreciated!

His skin always looks like he has a tan when my husband, his brother and me are about as pale as they come. His nose is always orange- and he doesn't eat a lot of orange vegies.

OK-please give me a break. I'm getting ready to pull my hair out. My 1 month old son leaks through his diaper and clothes at least 3 times a day if not more. I've tried different brands and different diaper sizes. I've had my sister, mom, friends, his dad and even his sister put his diaper on him. I was thinking it was just me who couldn't diaper him right. He leaks no matter how you diaper him. Can you use puppy pads under a baby or are the pads harmful or poisonous to humans? I can't find the hospital type pads anywhere.

My friend wants to name her baby Kylissa. It's a pretty spelling. She doesn't know for sure how pronounce it. She also needs a middle name to go with it. Thanks.
