Their freturnl twins and every time somebody pass by our stroller they scream their heads off. How do I get them to shut-up?

Weird! But why do YOU care about these other people? Your kids might be thinking, "AARGH! MOM wont' pick us up, so will YOU?"!

Try holding them more and they'll probably scream less. If not, then have them checked out by their doctor.

My kid sometimes screamed in public. Once, a lady behind the checkout counter looked peeved and said, "MY! What a loud boy!"

I answered, "MY, what a rude, stupid CLERK!"

forgot about what others think (if that's your concern) and focus on your kids!

P.S. - Hazel Eyes - if by "knows what you're talking about", that I agree with "popping 'em" (older kids), you're WRONG! IMO, it is NEVER, EVER acceptable to hit a kid (unless they're a huge adolescent, coming at you with a weapon...and even then, it means you've screwed up completely).

You can't make a baby shut up which is exactly why I stopped at ONE. Now, once they get a little older and can speak and comprehend English, if you tell them to shut it up and they continue, you can pop 'm and they'll know that next time you say hush you mean business and they'll shut the heck up.
Twins, I feel for you. There's no way I could or would ever do that. Good Luck.

I don't have a problem with infants, it's bad kids and stupid parents that annoy the crap out of me (not referring to the lady asking this question). Nationsofswine (vaginitis) knows what I'm talking about.

Hey,

I too have frat twins (girls) and when one of them was between 8-10 months old, she would get scared of other people, strangers.

Are you a part of a Mommy and Me group or a Mother of Twins club where you live? This would be a good way to let them meet others and break that fearful cycle.

Here are two links below that can help you:

First of all how old are they? and Are they also able to get away with other things? try taking them to a park so that they can become familiar with people are they exposed to people very often? and do they have any reason to be scared? Do you and their dad yell alot or talk in a loud voice? maybe they think that this behavior is acceptable and it cant change until you lay down some rules.

first stop thinking of it as getting them to shut-up... ...are they in daycare or with you all day? they may need more socialization... ...i put my daughter in daycare at 3mo for three days a week and it has helped her big time in being around people... ...if you can not afford daycare then, take them out of the stroller more and around people ...start with family that can deal with their screaming how old are they? ...if old enough for you to talk to then sternly tell them to stop screaming but, make sure that they are not doing it out of fear or isolation first... ...-you may want to consult a professional...-good luck to you...

Do you take them out in public much? Sounds like they are just afraid of people. The only way you get them used to it is to put them in social situations where they are other people around and also to let other people hold them that aren't necessarily in the house. I don't mean just hand your babies over to strangers, but perhaps let neighbors hold them, or some of your friends to help them see that it's ok to be around other people.

maybe you could try putting a sign on your stroller that says; SSSHH!! My babies are sleeping! And try toput a little more detail in your questions like do they cry when people are talking, or are they touching the stroller?? just a suggestion.

You have to keep them busy either by eating a snack they love most or by handing them a toy they allso love. If these doesnt work you could sing. I do that with my kids and the baby of 8months plus just smiles up at me.Goodluck
