Do they always do these things on Fridays? Or, did you have your C-Section on a different day of the week?

I think that all the doctors at my hospital do breech c-sections around 38 weeks (to avoid the chance of labour) and schedule it either when the are on-call for the day or have other surgeries to do.

I had a planned Repeat C-Section with my daughter on a Wednesday Night. I was exactly 38 & 1/2 weeks. C-Sections aren't always done on Fridays I don't think anyway. Usually it depends on your doctor. The reason Mine was done in the evening was because my doctor was on call in the evenings in the month of May. It's just a matter of making sure your doctor has the time to get in and concentrate completely on you without having to be pulled away by an emergency or another patient.

Most OBs have one day a week they set aside for planned c-sections and other surgeries. They usually like to take breech babies early so there's less of a chance of you going into labor on your own - that could lead to a prolapsed cord if the baby isn't engaged in your pelvis.

My son was born 3 1/2 months ago by planned c-section because he was breech. He was born on a Wednesday, 6 days before my due date.

I had a C-Section cause my pelvis was too small. My doctor believes that if a pregnancy is made to last 40 weeks, then 40 weeks it should be... Needless to say the C-Section was done at 40 weeks on a Monday !

Actually I was full term and a little late. Then my daughter decided to have a mind of her own and literally flipped while I was in the hospital before surgery. I had previous C-Sections so they were planning to on this one anyway. I had it done on a Monday. In fact my son was done on a Monday. He had the cord around his neck at the last minute. NOT TO PANIC. Kids do this just to test us. Doctors are AWESOME in this field and know exactly what they're doing. Good luck!

I didnt have a C section but my mother did with me because i was a large baby (11lbs 6ox 23 inches) and i was breech. my mom was 38 and a half weeks pregnant with me when they delivered me. I was born on a tuesday, i think you can probably request what day that they deliver your baby on!
