my son is 3 1/2 months, and lately he's been coughing a lot it seems.. he's not running a fever, or crying more than usual, or not eating.. he just coughs and kinda laughs a little-it doesn't seem to bother him, but it's bothering me a bit. The weather is also changing and both me and my husband are very sensative to that, maybe it's because of the weather.. Any advice or experience??

for now keep your baby upright so it's easier for them to breathe........and try some Vick's.......put a layer of Vaseline then the Vick's.......unless you have Baby Vick's vapo rub......
also bathe them in the Johnson's Vapo Bath......and I believe there is cream for that too......
use a humidifier as well to moisten the air.......like Vick's Vaporizer and SALINEX too.
If a cold comes later with it......you can try the BABY VAC
Regular aspirators do not work.....
you have to get the baby vac.......available on the website or at the baby/toddler shows (that's where I purchased mine)
they use this in hospitals.......and remember babies can't blow their nose till at least 2 or 3 years of age.
http://babyvac.com (in the U.S.)
http://babyvac.ca (in Canada)
this helps prevent further infection like ear or sinus infections....
clears them right up.....
I love this thing!! It works! and my daughter is so much better....

coming from a mom who has taken her baby in for EVERYTHING: im a first time mom and i guess a little overly paranoid when it comes to my daughter, so every little cold we've been to the doctor and usually get the same thing. there isnt really anything they can give to babies his age. the best thing you can do is put a humidifier in his room at night and even run it during the day if you are home. if he doesnt seem like its bothering him its probably nothing serious, just adapting to the changing weather. However if his cough is deep or sounds like a barking seal it could be something more serious. if his cough is light and not bothering him, give it a few more days, it takes a while for your body to kick out the germs. after a few days if he is not better, or if any other symptoms arise take him to the doctor. I hope this helped, i know its so hard with little ones getting sick. i hope he feels better soon. :)

My 7 mo. old daughter started coughing when she was around 4 mos old. Since then she's used coughing to try to get our attention and it works. She will just cough and laugh or smile and it's kinda funny. Hopefully this is the case with you son and not that he's sick or anything bad.

It is probably allergies and he might be coughing up some more gunk from when they are born that they might've swallowed when they were born.
If they don't have a fever don't worry b/c they don't have an infection. Other than that maybe buy him some Vick's to rub on his chest at night to help soothe his throat.

First, permit me start up via asserting that in case you ask for human beings's critiques, you will be arranged for each and all of the destructive ones besides. and you may no longer counter with an attack on them. With that, I agree that basically because of the fact some employer *recommends* it, that doesn't advise that each and each infant would be waiting or in a position to eat it. In my own own opinion, i think that the sole toast a newborn under possible be eating is the Zwieback toast. they're made particularly for toddlers 10 months and up. (in spite of the undeniable fact that my eighty one/2 mth previous eats them effective) As a mom, you may comprehend that for the duration of the adventure that your newborn is coughing and having difficulty eating (any food, no longer in basic terms toast) then you shouldn't supply it lower back because of the fact needless to say he/she isn't waiting to eat it precise. Wait till your infant is one earlier you grant toast. it is my opinion, take it or go away it! do no longer call human beings retards in case you particularly need their advice. And in case you're no longer prepared to take their advice, destructive or constructive, then do no longer submit questions! Have a solid day!:)

Well, my son is 5 months and about a month ago he caughed as well. He wasnt sick at first, but soon after-he got a cold. i just took him to his doctor and they gave him some childrens tylenol. It helped within a day so...if it gets worse, thats what i would do...esp since you and your hubby are concerned! But at the moment, if he's fine...just wait it out. It could be a whole lot of nothing! Best of luck
