My 5 y/o sat at 4m, crawled at 5m, and was walking unsupported at 7m. Her legs never had any issues. My youngest was walking along furniture and stuff at 6/7 months old and her legs are fine also. My oldest walked late at 13.5m old.
Oh... that thing about baby crawling to be smarter... My 5 y/o is very very smart. Also left handed, ahead of her class.

Bowing is common in children under two, the bowing happens due to the folded position of the legs while the baby is still in the womb, when the bones are soft and flexible. The bend in the legs often causes the child to also walk pigeon- toed (with feet pointing inwards). This is a normal developmental pattern for children. In a few children bowing can be caused by illnesses that need to be treated. The doctor can identify these with an examination of the child. So your parents had to contact pediatric doctor if the condition did not get better, I doubt the reason for bowing was due to your walking at early age. More over, having the "straight" legs is also determined by the bio- mechanical axis and correlation between the thigh axis and the shin one. The everyday notion "shapely legs" is identified as legs having a bio- mechanical correct axis. The axis of a leg is considered to go through the head of the thigh-bone, the middle of the knee-cap and the first span between the foot fingers. So I cannot say for sure as for the real reason for your bowing, but consultation and physical examination with orthopedic surgeon could possibly help you get the better feedback. Good luck!

Only knowing from my own 2 kids, don't worry. My daughter was walking at 7 1/2 months and is perfect at the age of 7! You can always ask your pediatrician... Sounds like you will have your hands full VERY soon. Good luck!!

No. But if he doesn't crawl that is not good!! Crawling hard wires the brain - its been proven.
