I know there are a lot of questions about this here, but I haven't found any for this age group. I'd like him to quit using it before he's 12 months old. He's too young to understand anything like a soother fairy story. He only uses it on long car trips and during naps. I'm wondering if I should I go gradually or break it all at once? Any suggestions?

I have a 4 month old thet had the stomach virus a few weeks ago and couldn't keep her bottle down. The doctor told me to start giving her cereal and bannanas and see if that stayed down. Well, she took both from a spoon fine. Has had no allergic reactions, and has digested it fine. I ahve since began giving her other foods since she did so well with the bannanas. Is this bad for her at this age. She is still taking her formula look normal, and has actually went up on how much she was taking. But I also give her 2 jars of baby food a day. Is it okay to continue feeding her solids?

I'm trying to start my 7 month old son on a sippy cup. I'm introducing it slowly, substituting 2 bottles for a sippy cup a day. He refuses to drink from it. He chews on the spout and won't drink from it. He is getting a new tooth, but still I nkow that you are supposed to have your child weaned from bottle to sippy cup by 1 year of age and I intend to do so. (Especially since I've seen all too many kids who are 2+ years in stores with bottle in mouth.) I'm not going to go cold turkey on him unitl he's about 12-13 months old, but I'd love some advice on transistion and what more I could be doing.

COSTCO/ Kirkland brand diapers.....why do they even make them?
I think they have to be the worst diapers out there. I have complained to COSTCO to bring back the Pampers line they used to carry, but to no avail. I think the brand is called Kirkland. It is horrible. Anyone else have any problems with these?

I'm shopping online and all I can find is a pair at payless, but they look like fashion boots, not waterproof play in the snow boots. My little girl is size four in infant sizes, not toddler, and we will be going sledding this November. Thanks for your help!

I have a 1 year old with a rectal tempature of 101.3. How does a rectal tempature compare to tempature taken orally? Are there charts or can you just add 1 or subtract 1 to get the right answer. Please cite your source.

What was the reason?

I'm asking because last night, my 9mo old daughter was vomiting insanely. Scared me to death. I gave her some mac n cheese. Was it that or some sort of virus? It seemed to happen after I gave her the mac n cheese. Need some experienced moms here.

Thanks for all the answers to the pacificer question (I had tried a few of the ideas already with no luck). My problem is when he's had a full feeding and I know he wants to sleep he gets really angry at not getting to get more breast. I've tried letting him cry it out but he gets so worked up at crying and screaming it's hard not to just give in.

I have an 8 month old boy, He's SO close to crawling! What are some tips to get him going? Besides the obvious, like putting a favorite toy in front of him. Or tips for walking. Are there spicifically good toys out there that help with standing?

I read the question earlier about their older baby and I was wondering if at 10 months she bangs my head on my forehead and moves it a lot, when shes trying to sleep or what not, and then when shes trying to crawl too. Sometimes she rams her forehead right into my forehead kind of hard.
She does this everyday at least 5 or 6 times. It HURTS.
I wonder if it is just normal or what I should do?

The vomit is a pale yellow with it looks like little bits of formula. Its about an ounce each time it she has done it 3 times in the past 2 days. I am worried. !!
It does not look like normal spitup, which would be formula!

I have a baby who is almost 11 months. I would like to wean her because she now has 4 teeth (that she likes to use while nursing sometimes!) and because I am now 10 weeks pregnant and want to have a break in between nursing this baby and our next baby. The problem is she doesn't like bottles and hasn't really figured out a sippy cup or at least not enough to really drink any volume of liquid from it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get her drinking a bottle or using a sippy cup sooner than later? I will happily nurse her for another couple of months but the sooner I can wean her the better. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions that might have worked for you!
