When my son was 2-3 month old, he drank 3-4 oz every 4 hours. I know. I was worry too. He was healthy and gaining weight. My doc. said if he was gaining weight and happy, then that's all it counts. My son at the most drank 25 oz total in a day. he is now 10 months and still drinks less then recommended, but he is as healthy and as strong as a cow. Don't worry, if your baby is growing and gainning weight, let him or her or them tell you how much they want to drink. Recommendation is just recommendation.

A bottle-fed two- or three-month old may drink as little as six ounces every four hours or as much as eight ounces every four hours. Some babies sleep through the 2:00 a.m. feed when they're two or three months old. Eight ounces is the standard bottle. Its just that some babies take a little while to work up to that. (By three months most should be drinking eight ounces. Its the two months old when they may still drink a little less.)

My little boy at that age had 200ml (7oz) 4 - 5 times a day. But sometimes he didn't finish them, leaving 1 - 2 oz (up to 50ml). Have a look on the back of the tin for a guideline as to how much your baby should be having, but if they are content with lots of wet nappies then they should be fine.

I had to think back on this one because my daughter set her own schedule from the get go. I didn't mind because she was sleeping through the night from day one so I wasn't about to change her schedule. In the mornings she would take six to eight ounces, then two to four ounces every two to three hours. I let HER decide when she was hungry not the clock. Then about 10:00 pm she would take another six to eight ounce bottle before I put her in her crib.

My 3month old drinks about 4 to 6 oz every 2 hours. Sometimes 8oz. She sleeps aaaallllll night long so she makes up for what she misses. I asked her doc about it and he said she was fine.
