I am a native english speaker but I want my baby to only hear spanish in the house hold. I am majoring in spanish so I don't think this would be too difficult of a task. I read that your child can learn english from the school and else where outside the home. I want to know if this is a good idea, and how to go about doing this? (The father is hispanic also)

My daughter is starting on solid foods and I think I may have given her something that was too much for her stomach - mac n cheese. She's been vomiting pretty bad ever since - where's vomit's literally pouring out. I called the on call doctor who told me to give her pedialyte. But, she's since fallen asleep. She seemed happy and playful before she went to sleep.

I'm worried about her being dehydrated. Should I wake her up and try to feed her some more juice?

Should I let her sleep?

My son is healthy for a 9 1/2 month old. We are going out of the country on November 1st for 1 1/2 month. The last visit to the pediatrian, he got 1 of the 2 flu shots. Since we are leaving sooner than 1 month, the doctor agrees to give him the 2nd shot 19 days after his first flu shot. We haven't gone to the 2nd shot yet, I was just wondering if I should or not. Isn't it supposed to be 1 month apart. Now, he will be getting his second shot 19 days after his first. Is it going to harm him in any way? If not, how come infants were supposed to get 2 flu shots with 1 month apart in the first place. I don't know if I should give him the 2nd shot so soon or I should just get him his 2nd shot when I go oversea?

My cousin told me today that her 5 month old daughter weighs 19 lb. and 3 oz. she said her doctor told her she was in the 100th percentile. I was thinking that a baby her age shouldn't weigh that mush maybe like 15-17 lb. I was 20 lb. at 1 yr.! Were trying to see whose right. what do u think?

She's only 7 months old and i think she's bored but also she looks sad sometimes 'cause i'll be wanting to sleep or just stay in the house a lot or i'll be on the computer or phone but it helps to keep my mind off of things a little which helps me not feel so depressed. But i want to play with my daughter a lot more than i do but it's hard to cater to her every second of the day when she can't do much yet and i feel so unhappy about life. What can i do about this?I love my baby and i want to enjoy my time with her more but if i don't have some time for myself i will go crazy!!!

I had just had a beautiful baby girl 2 months ago tomarrow. she is already rolling over both to her left and to her right and scooting a little bit. She is also able to keep her head up constantly and take in and focus on something she looks at very well without her eyes crossing and going in funky directions anymore...Is this fast development for a newborn and if so what should i expect later on down the road?

OK, my daughter is 4 months old, and like most other babies, she routinely spits up a small amount after eating. However, for the past few days, she's been spitting up large amounts of mostly undigested milk (she's breastfed), right after she burps. It's getting so that now when she spits up, it's time for a whole new outfit for her, a change of shirt for me, and a small mopping up off the floor/sofa! I've tried burping her more frequently but she still spits up just the same. What could be the problem? I plan on calling her pedi this week about it but I thought I'd gather any info you other parents may have in the meantime. Thx!

Engorgement? My daughter now sleeps through the night, she is almost 12 weeks old and sleeps until between 5-7am depending on what time I put her down and no longer wakes up during the night for a feed. By the time it's around 3-4am (which was her usual wake up time for a feed) I am completely engorged and rock-hard so I tickle her lips to wake her up and she doesn't even budge, so instead I get up to pump it all out. Any tips... or is this how it'll be until I wean her off???

...sleeps about 3-4 hrs a day. He is always trying to poop and is constantly grunting, clenching his fists and bringing his legs to his chest. I have told the dr I think he has colic. She is not concerned about his vomiting because he is gaining weight. If we try to lay him down not matter how long it has been since his last bottle he throws up. I know something is wrong with him. We go to the dr tomorrow and I am not leaving until she finds out what is wrong with him. Anyone else have this happen with their baby or any advice?
