I'm not at all surprised at all the leaking I'm reading about lately regarding disposable diapers. They really are garbage right from the very start, right through till the end.
My solution. Cloth diapers.

The first idea that comes to mind is change him more often.
The second thing that comes to mind is a question... are you still using the diapers that th hospital sent you home with? If so, that could be the problem. Hospitals may use name brand diapers, but they are hospital grade diapers. They are specially made so that the the hospital can weight the baby's output (urine and bowel movements). This leads them to leak easily.
If you're using hospital diapers, chaging him more often is your first move. Your second is to get diapers that aren't hospital grade.
Also, just consider changing brands. You can ask people's opinions, but really it's going to end up being a try and see to find what diapers work for you. Personally, I'll recommend Huggies since we've used those since our daughter was born without problems.
Good luck.

Well, I found Pampers swaddlers to be the best when my son was that age. Not only were they soft, But they were great for preventing leaks. A baby that age is going to have 8-10 wet diapers a day on average, I know it is alot of changing but trust me it gets better lol. Also I know pampers can be expensive so if you go to their website www.pampers.com you can sign up and they will send you coupons in the mail.

My son had this problem with diapers because he was a small baby, Pampers swaddlers and regular Huggies worked best for me. Also I was not making the diapers tight enough, I was nervous about hurting him so they were too loose.
Hope this helps you.

We started out using Pampers Swaddlers. They were soft and cute but my daughter leaked all the time! While we were in Wal-Mart purchasing another bag a lady pulled me aside and told me that she is a daycare provider and I can save myself a lot of problems and money by getting the Wal-Mart brand. We tried it and have never bought another brand since. I can't even begin to calculate how much she has saved us in diaper expenses and they worked great! Of course all babies are shaped differently and you will have to figure out what works best for your baby probably by trial and error but don't count the generics out. Good luck!

Well, I would need to know what kind of diapers you are using -- you don't indicate that information.
Huggies Supremes have great leak proof diapers.
Also, please consider the size of the diaper. Newborns are truly made for newborns and the size 1 diapers will leak because they are too big.

Pampers Newborn Swaddlers were the best diapers for my daughter......you also may want too look for rubber diaper covers, Wal-Mart usually has them, thay are for covering cloth diapers, but you can use them to cover disposables too!

You probably are using the newborn size diapers. Try buying the next size up.

I loved Pampers Swaddlers. You can also collect points from them. Visit the below web page and there is a long code you can type in. You get points and can get free gifts from them. All I know is that Luv's sucked.

i had the same problem with my son... the solution... making sure his bits were pointing down - when he was little there was a big gap between his diaper and his tummy and it always seemed to leak thru there. also make sure that they're snug around his legs.... good luck with your little boy!
