I have a 4 month old baby, i think shemay be coming down with a cold i checked on her tonight and she sounded a bit stuffy, im guessing due to the weather change... my question is whats the difference between a humidifier and a vaporizor? and which one is better to use??

One is probably not too much better than the other. Both put moisture in the air. If you do not have a vaporizer, you can sit with the baby in a bathroom with hot water running to make steam in the air (don't put the baby in the water, just let it moisturize the air).

You use the humidifier over a period of time like hours during sleep or even all day long. This is to keep the air in the room moist, and not too dry.
Vaporized is for a short term treatment, like minutes. The warm steam helps loosen the mucus in her sinus/throat, etc.

humidifier puts moisture into the air, a vaporizer usually has a cup on the top you can put a liquid in to aid in breathing as well as just add water to the air.

vaoporizers help thin out the mucus, the heated moisture works much better.
