My girl mostly started pulling up on furniture. But to get her going I would hide behind a wall and play peek-a-boo with her. She would be interested in trying to get to me. I put toys in front of her as well. There was a toy that a friend gave us that she also learned to stand up in. It was round and had an opening for her to crawl into. Then she could pull herself up and the toy would be around her waist. She liked it because every direction she turned in there was something for her to play with.

As mentioned above he'll do these things when he is ready "put away the good ornaments". Moms tend to compare their babies with the reports from other mom's about crawling, walking, talking etc. These time lines differ in all babies. Developmental research has shown that apart from a few very obvious delays, that most normally developing children tend to be equal by the age of five.

My daughter had the Baby Gymnastics Playwall and it's fantastic for encouraging standing. For crawling, she was so close and her favourite thing was Cheerios. So I put a Cheerio just out of her reach and continued with a trail around the living room. It sounds silly, but she was crawling in no time.

He will crawl, stand and walk when he is ready. Don't push it, as much as you might want to; his brain and body have to be in sync for it all to go smoothly, and that's something you don't want to tamper with! Also remember that boys often crawl and walk later than girls, so he may simply be taking his time. If you're concerned about his development, take him to his pediatrician, but on the whole, let him do these very important things at his own pace.

You could just try standing him up against the sofa and helping him to cruise, or balls are good, things that you can let go and they whizz off. Walkers are good but that only really works if he's cruising, good thing to get though as its all encouragement. Have fun - it's a new ballgame when they get on the go you know!!

We tried truly demanding to get him to crawl. This one nighttime before mattress, we were once back attempting to get him to crawl. My husband had a bag of chewy Chips Ahoy on the floor next to him. My son said it and began to crawl for it. So we moved it extra decrease back. And he crawled extra. Then we moved it decrease back back, and he crawled ahead yet yet again. He replaced into in touch in the pink packaging and the sound the equipment made. I advise searching somethng which will attraction to his interest like a favorite toy or magnificent hues. My son replaced into continually in touch in hues really yellow because this is the brightest.. i desire this helps. p.s. my son did not obtain any cookies for achieving them.
