My baby is 12 weeks old and is eating 3.5-3.75 oz. every 2.75-3 hours. People keep telling me it's ok to add a little rice cereal to his bottle at bedtime or in the morning to "fill him up." My doctor had indicated to wait until he's eating 32 oz a day and is 4-6 months. Right now he's sort of sleeping through the night (some days but not all). I hesitate because he has a sensitive tummy and he's not 4 months yet. Advice please!

And what type? I've heard all the mercury warnings but some fish, like salmon, is very nutritious and not so high in mercury. I would think it would be good for kids in moderation.

He fights every nap by screaming, wriggling, kicking, pinching. Even after he falls asleep he'll shake his head or kick his leg to wake up. It's very frustrating and takes forever to get him to sleep and he usually won't nap long. He's also usually cranky when awake - probably because of his sleep habits. Any suggestions?

My daughter is 3 months old and I have to start work in August. I need someone to be able to take care of her from 7am-5:30pm at night.

I HATE leaving her with someone else, I had origionally planned to leave her with my sister but she backed out at the last minute.

I need to know what type of questions I should ask about a daycare and what the average range of daycare is in the Metroplex.

Also, if anyone knows a good one in the Lewisville, McKinney, Carrollton area please respond on here.

i havent seen her for 6 months as i am out of the country. she is 17 and had a baby 2 months ago the father left her for most of the pregnancy but turned up just 6 weeks before she gave birth and she was doing really well showing him that she was the boss and not taking any of his nonsence, but since she has had the baby he has taken over if they have an arguement he just picks the baby up and walks out with her. he is 10yrs older than her and already has another child that he isnt allowed to see but that really hasnt got anything to do with it. the reason i'm worried is that she has been out every weekend since the baby was 2 weeks old. how or what do i say to her when i get back do u think she has post natal depression and hasnt bonded with her baby or its him. u might think i'm interfeering but i know she will ask for my help or advice when i get back but i don't know what to say to her.

My premature son is in the hospital now, he has been since he was born. We keep getting different conflicting stories from doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, and we keep getting told these are "normal" premie situations that happen as he continues to have more and more things happen to him every time we leave to go home and shower, sleep, work. He is due to have surgery, has been several times for his heart and it keeps getting post-poned for various reasons they keep giving us. He is losing weight, I walk in to see him and he appears to have been crying for a while by the redness of his eyes and no one is around to sooth or check on him. I see other people's children also getting the same treatment while I stay there for hours on end with my child. I hear and see things that make me uncomfortable to keep him in their care. I have been told by other hospitals I have checked into transferring him to that where he is at is one of the best places for him to be. Babies need better care.
