Sometimes when she cries the pressure makes her fart. I'm just not sure that all babies fart this much? Or is it bad gas?

It is safe to let baby sleep on their back to help prevent sudden death while sleeping. The baby can sufficate themselves while sleeping on their stomach. This means the baby will spend a lot of time lying on their backs which can cause a bald spot in the back of their head. Is there a way to prevent this??

My son is due any week now and I am choosing to breast feed but will also give him formula when needed. Until I find what formula is best for him, what is best to start with??? There are so many to choose from and don't even know where to begin. Also, to those who did breastfeed, and did not feel comfortable doing so in public, what did you do to keep the milk cold/fresh in the diaper bag while on outings???

I would like to know when you started to give your baby regular food instead of baby food? You can add when you should start doing that.

For all parents: What is the best place to registar for a baby shower? I ask this because I had a big problem with JCPenny when I registered for my wedding. Almost every item I registered for went out of stock! Where have you found the cutest or most practical items? Currently I'm looking at Target and Baby's-R-Us.

My 4 wk old daughter is very fussy. The dr changed her formula to Alimentum because she said she has colic behavior. Well from what I've read about colic, the babies usually cry around the same times every day. My baby has some days were she won't fuss at all and then some days she fusses off and on all day. Like yesterday she cried from 2:30pm until 7pm and then again from 3am until 8am this morning. But some days she will cry from 9-11pm and some days not at all. Does anyone think this is symptomatic of colic or could there be some other issue? I give her mylicon drops and sometimes they work and sometimes not.

My wife and I have a one-year old and I have been wondering whether we should be brushing her teeth more than we currently do. We have one of those finger brushes with the gel you put on it. I guess I am curious to know at what age should a child's teeth be brushed on a daily basis? (FYI: our daughter currently has 6 teeth in)

A friend told me that while breastfeeding your body stores fat in order to make the milk and when you stop you lose weight, she did, I can't see how though, as you burn off a lot of calories breastfeeding right? This is bearing in mind that I will be eating the same amount as while I was breastfeeding.
