My little ones both started cereal early. Best thing is about 2-3 prepared tablespoons of cereal. Start out by introducing once a day and after about 2 weeks they should be eating cereal 3 times a day. Then you can start them on regular solids in place of 1 cereal feeding. By 4-5 months you should be able to feed them cereal in the morning. Milk in between Solids for lunch milk in between and solids for dinner. I always give them about 4 oz of milk before I start feeding them cereal so the immediate hunger has subsided and they eat better that way. Good luck!

Try a little at a time so you don't waste it. The cereal is pretty nasty compared to breast milk. You can also try mashed pototoes. The cereal or pototoes will feel him up so you are not up all night nursing or feeding him a bottle. Try feeding a little in the morning and a little at dinner time.

start with your meal schedule to get him used to what times the family eats..Then gradually add in a veggie in about a month then add in an evening snack..But get him on your schedule for eating then in a few months dinnertime for him will be with you when he gets fun when eating.and you can enjoy him... The first few months will be messy very messy..Use a spoon and a reclining high chair..Don;t get him used to a feeder this way he will know what utensils are for and he will learn how to use them by watching you feed him...Good luck

plain rice. Mix it with formula or breast milk. Do not make it so clumpy. I would make it kind of watery but not to watery. I would give it to the baby once a night then gradually got to twice a day then three times a day.

You can do some for breakfast lunch and dinner just like we eat food. Start with a few ounces and as baby gets bigger give him/her more. Night feeding can be larger and baby will sleep longer if sleeping is a problem.

The amount to give is usually on the side of the box. But I used to do twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

Babies are *not* ready for *anything* other than breastfeeding (or formula) until they are at least 6 months old. If your doctor told you to give it, then ask him what makes him a bigger expert on the subject than the top experts in his own professional organization. It *cannot* help a baby, and can do serious harm--throughout his life.
