I don't know if there is a way, best rest assured it grows back! Just don't let yur baby sleep on his tummy until he's old enough to roll over on his own! Good Luck!

The experts change their minds so much on whether its best for the baby to sleep on its side, its front or its back. We used a wedge with all three of our children. This keeps them on their sides. We did have some blad spots from normal everyday lying on the playmat, rubbing head against the swing, that sort of thing. But its not a big deal at all. Most babies get those bald spots, its common. So dont stress over that. Just work on keeping your baby safe and happy.

No. Almost every baby gets a bald spot. It comes back. Someone told me to use the little wedges that keeps them kind of on their side, but according to new recommendations those are not safe to use either because the baby can work their way onto their stomach and suffocate.

Amby baby nest. Far safer than a crib (there's a reason SIDS used to be called crib death, it only happened to babies who slept in cribs, not who slept in a baby nest or in the parents' bed). Prevents SIDS, there's never been a SIDS case in an Amby, prevents the misshapen flat head, prevents colic and acid reflux issues, better for the back and bone structure, and, perhaps least importantly of that whole list, prevents that unsightly bald patch.

yah obviously it happens from the baby turning its head from side to side and rubbing the hair off. I think the majority of time sleeping can't be effected so just make sure when the baby isn't sleeping it is in a different position of not rubbings its head and other than that you can't prevent it. It grows fast when they become mobile so don't worry about it.

I have two children and sleeping on their backs never caused a bald spot. Now both's hair fell out and came back to its current color around two months of age. But unother than that, they never dealt with baldness.

How old is the baby? We went out and bought an Amby bed and my son has no loss of hair and the back of his head is not bald at all. Also he sleeps great in it. You should check it out.

This can be helped by propping your baby a bit with a receiving blanket to one side or the other if it is not old enough to be moving around too much. Don't worry about it too much. The hair will grow back.
