The pain is the gum swelling before the tooth comes through. As soon as the tooth breaks the gum the pain should ease. The problem is, babies never seem to cut one tooth at a time.

Eight days to cut a tooth from beginning to end. The pain starts before it cuts though, once you see white then a week at most, keep up with painkillers and sore mouth gel. You should cope but baby may sleep very little.

As soon as the tooth breaks the surface of the gum, the pain pretty much eases up. You can help by rubbing his gums with a clean cold wet washrag. Be careful of some of the teething gels as they can cause stomach upset, especially if too much gets swallowed.

Hate to tell you this, but it's just starting. At least a couple months until all the teeth break. I used Humphreys pellets, they work awsome for all kids in my family including me. It's been around for ages.

Here's a link with some info and pricing. It's cheaper online than at most stores. Shop around.
