when it comes down to it, it is your child, you are able to do as you please. please just remember she will have this name forever. if you really like the name november then use it. i would suggest giving her a more common middle name (marie, anne, etc) so if she ends up hating her name when she is older, she can go by her middle name. i do think it is cute though.

The name comes from Latin and simply means "ninth month" (when the Roman calendar originally had the month as the ninth one before someone went adding a couple more).
I think you can afford to be more exotic with girl's names, i don't think you could get away with calling a guy that. It does sound a little on the feminine side of the scale (names ending with an 'a' sound tend to, such as Sara, Cecilia, Petra, etc.) so it can do alright.
Other months tend to be more popular, i.e. April, May & June. Up to you and the spouse... :)

I'd go with a different name, but if you want to call her "Novie" as a nickname, that is cute. That way she won't be teased or saddled with a trendy name she may hate later.

i hate it, especially if she is born in, say, June. There are so many pretty names for a girl, why would you want to stick her with an oddball name? Kids can be so cruel, and I can only imagine the teasing she would get with a name like that.

I grew up with a girl named September - I always liked it. I also like the name August for a girl.

Its stupid!
I have known people named March, April, May, June, August, September and most don't like their names.
Don't try and be cute, just give the poor kid a good name.
