What is important to look for when purchasing a breast pump. Was also curious about brand recommendations anyone may have. Are the more expensive ones the better ones and worth the investment?

My baby girl has a fever that keeps coming back after the tylenol wares out. She woke up crying and I noticed that she wont drink her bottles because she has blisters on the roof of her mouth. She seems kind of restless too! should i take her to the e.r. or will they just send me back home?

I know you are supposed to give formula up until a year if you stop breastfeeding... she feels that he is getting enough nutrients from food now... what are reasons why this isnt true and what effect will this have on the baby? How can I get this point accross to her without hurting our frienship.

I sing the same thing over and over, "you are my Sunshine" What other songs do you sing to your baby? And lyrics also. I can't think of other songs, I know rock-a-bye baby but I need new ones.

My son is a little over 3 weeks. He doesn't normally fall asleep without being held...(thanks to grandparents..lol). Anyways, I have read that newborns can't self-soothe (i.e. calm themselves down by crying it out) and so I was wondering about other people's personal experience with this. My husband wants to just let him cry himself to sleep, but I just feel so bad.

Don't worry, we do make sure he isn't hungry or wet or dirty first... this is strictly for sleeping.

My mum was saying she had us using the potty for number 2's from about 10 months and out of nappies altogether by the time we were 2.

I am keen to do it as as soon as poss with my son, he is 9 months old now and poo's at roughly the same time every day so it would be easy for me to get him on the potty for this?

Any hints appreciated
