Part of the joy of parenting is that you wait so long to hear that first laugh (or everything else you are waiting for). Your baby is going to do things in the nest couple of months that you think is a laugh, but you are not quiet sure.
Just be sure and be animated, laugh openly and loudly at the things she does. This will encourage her to laugh, since kids basically mimic what you are doing. But to get a really good, full laugh, I would say 4 or 5 months, depending on the child. But if she is already giving you huge smiles, with an open mouth, giggles are soon to come!

It really depends on the child. My children all learned to laugh at different ages. In fact, one of my twins laughed a full month before her twin. I would imagine that somewhere between 2-4 months is considered normal, but I would not worry her being behind or hard of hearing if she reacts normally to your voice and other stimuli. Just keep waiting, mom, I know it is nail biting waiting for that first joyous giggle.

My daugher is a lil over three months and laughs when I say certain things like aboogaawoogawooga...lol...seriously. She just cracks up. Also when I hold her in my arm as if I'm feeding her and kiss her side like I'm bout to eat her she just cracks up at that too. Experiment you'll find something that will work. The first time you hear it..believe me...you won't be able to stop laughing yourself.

My 3 month previous does a similar element. My pediatrician reported it likely wasn't teething, yet seem for such issues as redness in his cheeks, a moderate fever, and usual fussiness. Crying after eating should be gas. children come across with their mouths, and that is the age even as they are gaining extra administration of their fingers, so wager the position they prefer to placed them first! I merely slap a bib on him to seize the drool and make certain his fingers are sparkling.

The average age for starting to laugh (see source section below) is 3-6 months...so it could be any day or it could still be a while. Either way, you'll love it when she does it!!

She should be able to at 3 months. The most important thing you can know as a parent of a baby, is that THEY ALL DEVELOP DIFFERENTLY. My kid didn't speak a word until he was 2, now at 4 1/2 I can't get him to shut up. Mention it next time your at the doctors, but I wouldn't panic about it.

Babies usually start to laugh at about 4 mos, but like all developmental steps, it varies from child to child.
