I have always heard that it is best for babies when they start walking to learn barefoot. What do you think about babies wearing sneakers? Is it good for them or bad, or does it not matter?

I have a set of three month old twins. They are going through about 25 to 30 oz of formula each in a day. Is it too early to start them on solids?

If you think it isn't too early, should they only get cereal or would jar food be ok too?

my 5 1/2 month old slept in her bed for the first time, not in bassinet, last night. I heard something on the monitor this morning, and she was asleep on her stomach. she can roll over both ways, and is sitting pretty good. should I be worried about sids?

My 6 month old throws horrible tantrums, he has quite the temper. When he has these fits I cannot get him to calm down. But, once my mother takes him he stops crying and smiles at me. Am I doing something wrong? Why can't I get him to stop crying when he is like this and she can. It makes me feel horrible.

I think it does get smaller, but that thing is still there. Is this normal? I remember my dog had it too, when he was a puppy.. And what about next time, when she gets her 4 month shot? Could it be something like an allergy?

I named my 1month old boy Ashton Edward. But I like Jeremy Thatcher better. I let my family talk me out of it though and now the birth certificate says Aston Edward. I don't mind the name but I still like the other one better. But now I am thinking of changing it. Is it worth going through all the hassle? Which name do you guys like better? Thanks for the help!

I know that's a really bizare question. My milk seems to be drowning my baby when it lets down. The milk sprays everywhere, he starts to choke and scream, and the first 5 minutes of nursing are frustrating for the both of us. Sometimes he gets so worn out that he falls asleep and wakes up 40 minutes later because he's still hungry. Maybe I don't want the milk to NOT let down, just not so fast. He's only 3 weeks and can't drink that fast. Any suggestions?

He is 11 weeks old but was 10 weeks premature. We have been using an nasal aspirator which works but we want to know if he can take something to keep him clear. Since it's Sunday we can't call our Pediatrician. Thanks for any advice

We have a 7 month old boy who eats almost everything. He obviously has no problem with keeping things in his tummy as he's in the 75th percentile of weight for his age.

He is allergic to milk to we started him since birth on a soy formula (a rather expensive one). We'd like to switch to a cheaper formula but have heard it's bad to do so.

Why?

is it important for baby to stick to drinking the same type/brand of formula or is it alright to switch? (assuming the baby has no issues with taste) why?
eg: if you travel to another country and they don't sell the brand you are using, is it ok to switch ? or do you really have to take your supply with you?
