Once your baby can roll by herself ther is very little you can do to keep her on her back. The main thing is that she can move herself if she needs to...so nothing in the cot for her to get caught on.
Parents get it drummed into them that if your baby sleeps on there stomach they will suffer from SIDS...don't worry. I know it's hard but if she is as mobile as you say she is, I'm sure she'll be fine. Keep the monitor on, it'll help keep your mind at rest.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) reduces in likelyhood after 12 months. A 5 1/2 months you need to keep your child on her back as much as possible. Use a pacifier if you agree with them as they greatly reduce the chance of SIDS but they will need to keep it until after 12 months as removal of a pacifier also increases the risk of SIDS. Remove and cot bumpers or extra bedding from the bed as thesde can cause suffocation. Even though she can roll over she is still very young to react in the night, this is why SIDS doesn't go down significantly until babies are over 12 months. This is not meant to worry you or stress you out, if baby is kept cool and you don't smoke or drink and have her in bed with you then the risk of SIDS is very low. I just don't think it is a good idea to become complacent with such a little baby.
Always have a monitor on and don't lsten to the likes of goldlock2005, i don't know what developmental research she has done but babies can roll onto their tummies long before they can roll back

SIDS risk is highest between 2 and 4 months old. It drops again around 6 months and is over by a year.
Once a baby is rolling over, there's not much you can do. You can try a foam supporter (which *can* be a suffocation risk--but the risk of suffocation is significantly lower than that of SIDS, and drops when a baby can move around by herself, too), if you want...or you can just let her sleep however she is most comfortable.

Once your child can rollover SIDS is reduced significantly!! The threat of SIDS is the most risk for babies between 2-4 months. Once the can rollover easily you can breath a little easier. The threat for SIDS is still a concern until the age of 1. But you have made it past the biggest risk!!

As long as they can roll over it is safe for them. Just make sure you put them to sleep on their back. When a baby is able to move their head and get their face away from the matress the risk of SIDS goes down.

No. Once a baby starts rolling over, there's nothing you can do (shy of strapping them down on their backs, which isn't really nice, lol) to keep them from rolling.
I was concerned about this with my first son. I asked his ped. about it, and she said if he's going to roll over, let him sleep on his stomach. We used to play the rolling game...I'd put him on his back, he'd flip over. I'd roll him back to his back, he'd flip over. He's now 28 months old and still sleeps on his stomach. :) His younger brother just turned 1 last weekend, and he's also a stomach sleeper...has been since he was about 4 - 5 months old. I still put them both to bed on their backs, but the first thing they do is roll to their stomachs.

she's fine. the biggest reason babies die of SIDS is because parents fill the crib with thick fluffy bedding and pillows. she's fine on her belly if you just have the sheet and a light blanket. or try something called a sleep-sack. it's a blanket that you can put on the child almost like a gown. you can find them at Babies R Us.

Once they starting rolling over on their own then they are ready to sleep on their bellies but always lay them down on their back first.

when a baby is able to roll to his/her tummy then they have the ability to roll back over i wouldn't worry too much my daughters lie everyway which and they are both fine... my midwife told me not to worry too much as they can move back alone or you could stand over them turning them back every two seconds
