Try to pick something that is not too bizzare, but not over used. My husband and I named our son Ryan Alexander.

Try Astrology first to get the Zodiac (Moon in which Zodiac when baby was born). This will lead you to set of characters you should start baby's name with. Restrict the list of names using the first character and go from there.
Naming the baby with right character is a standard practice in Hindu and has worked very well.

First start with any male ancestor whom u admired . If you want to carry on your first name, then he would be a Junior. If, as in my case, I was named for my uncle, I became a "II" , 2nd.
If you just want to be fashionable you could see what Baby Name Books have been published this year.
His name needs to be special because he is a special individual.
You could also use the Bible as a source as biblical names are always popular.
Cameron, Hunter, Joshua, Casey are just a few ....

Oddly enough, considering the abundance of unusual, ornate, contrived and downright bizarre names these days, perhaps the most striking, attention getting names of all just may be the most common ones found in your parents' generation. Such names will undoubtedly stand out among the show-offs (i.e., Robert, Steven, John, James, William, Henry, Charles, etc.)

Congratulations!! My husband and I are expecting a son and his name will be Carter Robert.
Just remember when choosing a name that it will be something the child can live with throughout his life.
Have you thought about using any family names like after a grandfather or someone??

Tristan, Logan, Jesse, David, Timothy.

Avoid wierd names that are going to get the kid teased for the rest of his life. Find a person who you and your wife both admire and name the child after them. It would be a great honor for that person
