I'm sick of the same old girl names. Can anyone help me think of some nice, out-of-date names for girls.

I like it. My wife likes it, but think's it's too unusual. Is it a "beat me up" type of name, or is it cool and unusual?

....btw, it's the main characters nickname in the book "Enders Game". Great read if you haven't read it by Orson Scott Card

Can You Tell What A Newborn Baby Wants And Needs By Their Body Language?

My baby is one-month old and seems to eat ALL THE TIME! He will wake up at night about every 1.5 to 2 hours and will eat about 3 oz. During the day he will eat about 4 oz. and will sleep about 2 hours and then get back up to eat? Is this normal?? My daughter, who is now two, didn't eat nearly as much as my new baby son. I'm at my wit's end because I don't get any sleep or rest!

My daughter is 20 months, and should already be well off the bottle. Problem is, she was a preemie, and the Dr. prescribed Pediasure for her for weight gain. (bless her heart, she's still not big enough for a front facing car seat.)

She won't drink it out of a sippie cup or a regular glass for that matter because of the Pediasure smell, and I don't really blame her. I went through the deal of not giving her the bottle and thinking she'd get used to a cup, but we can't afford for her to loose any weight. She will drink regular milk and juice out of an adult glass with a straw, so I don't think I'll have problems with the normal liquids.

I was going to wait until the Dr. takes her off the Pediasure before giving up the bottle completely. Is this a bad decision? If so, what's a better way to give it to her? Serious answers please.

My son just turned one and I'd like to get him weaned off of the bottle. It would be easy if he didn't need it to fall asleep. I've tried switching to a pacifier while he was sleeping but he noticed the difference and immediately woke up wanting it back. Please help!

If so, why?

I have 3 boys and they are all intact, perfect as they came into this world. My husband is circumcized but i don't care. A lot of mothers circ their poor boys to "look like dad". If your sons go around looking at dads penis then you have very disturbed young men..lol. Also a lot of moms leave the decision up to the father. WHY?? My boys have never cared that they are intact and their dad isn't. And i asked my 16 yr old if he gets made fun at school and he said "Mom come on, if somebody looks at my penis in school i just ask him if he likes it"

I think a lot of parents circ for no particular reason and also for not being informed. They just do what they are told which is pretty pathetic. Also a lot say that it's cleaner. Um, you should learn to properly clean a penis as well as a vagina if you have a girl. It's part of being a parent. I think it's laziness and so unnecessary. Unless there is a medical reason boys should be left perfect.

Hey parents! Do you feel that sometimes all you do is wash bottles? Wash bottles, make bottles, wash bottles, make bottles. If you do not feel this way, how many bottles do you own and how do you wash them? I'd like to not feel like all I ever do is wash bottles!!!! Thanks!

How much do you pay or would pay to have your newborn watched by a friend that is not licensed 4 days a week??? I want to be fair to her. She also has a newborn of her own and is doing it for the extra cash. I am not sure the weekly cost of licensed daycares to compare any pricing to!

Sometimes a baby is born with blue eyes (for example), but later in life his or her eyes slowly change color. Three of my siblings were born with blue eyes but now have brown eyes, whereas I and two other siblings retained our blue eyes. I understand the concepts of dominant and recessive genes, but I would like to know how long it usually takes for a dominant eye color gene to assert itself if it is present.
