My friend told me that people will say isn't he/she precious when they see a baby they think is ugly. But, I've notice the older generation will say precious like its a good thing. What do you think.

I know when they're first born it's really just gas when they smile. When do they start smiling for real and when are they supposed to start holding their head up by themselves?? My baby is a week and a half old and at about 4 or 5 days old she was trying to hold her head up and now can get it up but just has trouble keeping it up for a while. Is that normal?

My cousin wants me to watch her baby when it's born. I'm a stay at home mom with two kids of my own-5yrs and 3yrs. I'll be watching the baby anywhere from 24-32 hours per week. I was thinking $100 per week, but people have been telling me that's not enough. What do you think?? Thanks. ( My 5 yr old is in pre-school)

We put our baby to sleep and she wakes up shortly after. My wife feels we should stay in the room until she falls a sleep. Tonight she stayed up 2 hours and we stayed with her the whole time. I don't think this is right. I think we should leave her and let her fall a sleep. What is the right way to get her back to sleep?

One morning after an especially long and difficult night of taking care of my daughter I walked into the shower with my PJs still on. Has anyone else done silly things like this while being sleep deprived with a newborn?

My sixteen-month-old son is unusually cranky these days. It doesn't take much to irritate him, he whines a great deal, and is generally miserable. I'm very worried! I tell myself he could just be entering the terrible two stage, but perhaps I should schedule a visit to his doctor. Did any of you have the same problem at this age? Any advice or comments would be useful.

When I went to the register at Wal Mart and when the cashier rung the diapers up( i bought a big box with 104 in it) instead of just taking $11.00 of it she rung up the bigger pack for free. It was like $20.00. Do you think it is wrong for me to not go back to the store

I let my friend keep my 2 month old baby so I could go get some hospital tests done for my new insurance. My baby is formula fed, and I left my friend several bottles, just in case. Anyhow, I return to find my now ex-friend breastfeeding my baby alongside her 14 month old whom she still nurses. I was livid, and I blacked out on her, and called her everything short of a child of God. First of all, I left food for my son, 5 bottles to be exact. Sceond of all, that's just SICK, and she did not ask my permission. Third, and likely most important, a while back when I was still pregnant with Joshua, she was undergoing screening for Hep. C, so I have no idea if she has it or not...all I know is I made my son an emergency appointment first thing tomorrow to get a preliminary blood work drawn up, and he has to return in 6 weeks to find out if it's conclusive (yea or nay). I am so nervous and angry. I could really hurt her, so I'm keeping my distance. I can't beleive she do something like this.

I had a baby in July-2004 and July-2005, at Wishard Memorial. I was trying to find the website in Indianapolis that will show their deliveries in the newspaper clippings. I was unable to get them at that time. I wanted them to put in my kids memory book.
