infants cry for a reason..It is they're way of communicating to you that something is bother them or something is wrong. If you have checked to see that they are not wet hungry or need a bath perhaps they have colic or theyre food is giving them painful gas. if none of those are the problem the baby needs to see the Doctor.

All you can do is make sure that it's not sick, and is comfortable. If there's no physical cause for the crying and you've confirmed this theory with the pediatrician, it may just be that it wants to cry. I know it sounds odd, but some babies get spoiled (it really depends on the age!) by being held all the time & getting 100% of your attention. If you're suddenly putting it down more, then it's just letting it's unhappiness be known. Babies aren't very capible of articulating their feelings!

Babies cry because they're hungry, wet, dirty, gassy, tired, lonely, uncomfortable, etc. If you've tried all these things and the baby still cries, take a break and lay the baby down in a safe place (crib, for example). Sometimes they're inconsolable. Your job as a parent is to care for their needs. If they cry it's not the end of the world.

If your baby is still small have you tried an infant swing? Many babies love those. :)

Talk to your doctor as soon as you can. But if your stressed or worried your baby will know this my daughter is 10 months old and still to this day when im stress she crys. Put the baby down and walk a way calm down. Call a friend up have them sit with the baby while you get away even if for 5 min. This will calm the baby down as well as you.

I cried a whole lot, along with mine. There was nothing I could do and I felt helpless with my baby. My chiropractor just said he could help babies with colic. I would've tried anything! Just be patient--even if you need to put your baby in the baby bed and walk away awhile, it's OK. Nobody ever told me a baby could cry THAT much so was I feeling like the only one to go through this--you bet. Wish I would've had the internet back then to just talk to people!

Check her to make sure she is not too hot, cold, uncomfortable, has poops, has a rash, has something stuck on her....

If she has colic just grab her legs, and rotate them as if you were cycling, then move them up and down. Usually that relieves them of gas.

If all else fails call the doc for assurance, she may be going through a growth spurt too.....

Take care of her/him all the time. What would you expect of your doctor if your baby needed help--would you want the doctor to decide that even if your baby's life were at risk, it's only fair that he gets to take a break in the middle of surgery because his needs are important, too? Why would you expect your doctor to change *her/his* life around more than you--the parents--are willing?

just put mine to sleep. walking around the house with the baby, signing softly, pacifier....all seem to work. if constant, may want to see a doctor. could also be gas - they sell gas drops for infants.

Well the only time I couldn't get her to stop crying is when she had a sore throat. Usually if you find out what is wrong and fix it the baby will stop crying. Sometimes they just need to be held and rocked, please don't let your baby cry it out!

I know this sounds wierd but sometimes if you turn on the blow dryer or the vacuum it really works! Of course not right next to them but in the same room.It is worth the try!
