I love it! It reminds me of the country singer Blake Shelton. One of his hits was "Austin". Sounds really good together. Congrats on your new baby boy! :)

For a boy or a girl? I've actually seen both of those as first names for a boy or a girl. I think they're cute names though -- nevermind the people who think it's too "Hollywood" -- the names you've chosen are actual human names, not fruits or cities or invented names from a pile of leftover Scrabble tiles. :-)

I have two children - ages 4 and 6 - with first names that sound like last names -- lol -- you know what I mean, names like McKenzie, Taylor, Tyler, Jackson, Dylan -- names that used to mainly be only last names. When they were newborns, people would say things like "Oh how original!" or "That's different!" lol - I didn't care. It seems now I hear a lot more of those kinds of names out & about, and now when people hear their names, they comment on how cute they think the names are. lol - I still don't care - although compliments are always nice. :-)

In the end, you should choose a name you are happy with, because you can't worry about pleasing everyone else. Oh, and be sure to look up the meanings in a baby name book or online, because sometimes people find out later they named their baby something awful. My friend wanted to name her baby "Kennedy" ... fortunately, she found out before the baby was born that Kennedy means "ugly head," and named him something else that sounded cool AND had a nicer meaning. LOL

I'm with the answerer that suggested losing the cute spelling of austyn - unless, I suppose, you are honoring someone who specifically spells it that way, alternative spellings don't work so well.

Whether you reverse the names depends on how the first name sounds with the last, I think.

that is so dumb, especially the middle name

"oh, my baby has to be different, so I'll put a 'y' where an 'i' should be"

Come on. sounds like a porno name anyway.

i like that it sounds originial but i honestly didnt loved it. also think how much work it will be to him to make people spell his name right on credit cards, hotel reservations, etc. make it simple, easy and original.
