I recently took my 5 month old daughter to the Dr. because of lumps under her breast and the Dr. told me what they were and that I needed to stop breastfeeding her. But my question is I can't find any evidence to support me stopping to breast feeding.

It is obvious that hormones are passed through breast milk and that they affect the baby but Do I really need to stop breast feeding?

My Dr. is against prolonged breast feeding. He told me to only breast feed until 3 months. That after three months that there is no longer a need for the baby to be fed by breast.

So is my Dr. just trying to get me to stop breast feeding or is the effects of the hormones in my breast milk harming my daughter?

PLEASE ONLY SERIOS ANSWERS AND NO RUDENESS OR WISE CRACKS!!

My youngest is my 7th child, and I HATE comparing him to my other children because I KNOW all kids are different. But, I am concerned because at 10 months he still doesn't roll over, HATES being on his belly for ANY length of time, doesn't try at ALL to get around, etc. The ONLY milestone he seems to have figured out is sitting alone. (but even that isn't mastered 100%) He still needs the "boppy" behind him. Anyone else have this same problem? A baby who just doesn't want to be mobile? I

should add that emotionally he is a happy and wonderful baby. He plays fine and seems to have most of his fine motor skills perfect! The doctor is only JUST now starting to be concerned and has asked I take him for x-rays of his legs (for what, I don't know) If anyone can relate, please let me know!!!

Thanks so much!

It really bothers me that every where I go I have to worry about people trying to touch my son (4 months) or even want to hold him. These people are almost always strangers to my son and 1/2 the time stangers to me. For moms out there who have dealt with this whats your best response when someone asks to hold them? I've been trying to use my Bjorn to avoid it- but that's not always a possability. For those out there who may be reading this and do not have children please note that us moms dont like our babies hands touched (they put them in their mouths) and please don't ask to hold a baby you don't know. Its pretty creepy!

Yesterday my ex friend breastfed my 2 month old son without my consent. He has been throwing up all day this morning and half of last night. My ex friend could possibly be Hep C positive, but the doctor has informed me that vomiting is more of a reaction to something that he may have been exposed to through her milk, and if it persists until noon, to bring him back in (he's already been in for preliminary bloodwork for hep c this morning). I gave my son colostrum for a month and a half, but stopped after that and he was put on Nutramigen for allergies. My ex friend knows he needs that special formula, NOT her possibly contaminated milk. to make matters worse, she breastfed him alongside her 14 month old who just got over bronchitis. My son has never been sick. Now he's throwing up. She informed me she did eat garlic pasta yesterday. My first instinct was to destroy her and throw her into fire, but that would land me in jail. My hubby is in Iraq, but will be able to return if it's bad.

I feed her cereal and fruit in the morning. Then some mashed rice with vegetables in the afternoon. In the evening, I give her cereal with vegetable soup. Before sleeping at night, she has 5 ozs of milk. After waking, she again has 5 ozs and then in the evening, she has 5 ozs again. Should I be giving her milk after every solid feed? Im so confused.
Otherwise, she is happy and healthy. Rolling all over the place. Also, baaing and cooing sweetly :-)

my son started walking at 9months he is currently 11months but one of his feet is slightly bent i was wondering if the foot usually straightens out for itself as he grows older or will it remain bent. My mom says it will eventually straighten out by the time he reaches about two. Anyone ever had this same problem

Im curious if it still hurts to tear or push the baby out after you have had an epidural. I wanted to have a schedualed cesarean but i can see i would be paying on it for life, so now im 50/50 with both ways , nautral or cesarean.

For mommys to suck on the binky as a method to "clean" it. I personally just get up and wash my daughters binky when it falls. I have seen people do this before. Whats your opinion?

This is her first week on formula. She will suck vigerously on her pacifier and start getting fussy. I wonder if maybe she's tired. Her stomach is a little bulged still, probably from being full. I wonder if she really is hungry again or if it is something else. She is eating Similac Advance.
