For mommys to suck on the binky as a method to "clean" it. I personally just get up and wash my daughters binky when it falls. I have seen people do this before. Whats your opinion?

That is disgusting. It exposes baby to all kinds of germs (and it exposes the *mother* to whatever germs are in the crap it fell in!!; I've seen mothers take a pacifier that fell into the *garbage* and put it right back into baby's mouth!!). It also exposes baby to increased risk of tooth decay.

I am lucky that my son never took a binky so I've never had to worry about it. I have seen people do it, and I guess it depends on where it falls. If it falls on a floor in a house, then I guess it's OK..if it fell in the dirt or in the mall...that's gross!!

If you're at home, wash it or get a new one, if you're out and walking through a parking lot, or at a store....then you clean it off with your mouth before you put it back in theirs. You're immune system is WAY better than theirs. You can fight off diseases that little ones can't.

Depends on where it lands. If it's on a table or a clean (enough) floor, it's the mother protecting her baby. Whether it grosses other people out or not, wouldn't it be worse if she didn't clean it at all?

To each their own. When it comes to your method of parenting, there is no right or wrong.
(but personally, my daughter only used the paci for about 3 months, and when it hit the floor, I ran to the sink, lol)

It's pretty gross, ya, if you dont want your baby to put it in his/her mouth...why would you? And not only that but ive seen some of my friends with colds, do it. Now...how nsaty is that. Would you do it for a lolly-pop or an ice cream cone...no. SO DONT DO IT TO YOUR BABY

no. the mouth has a lot of bacteria in it. ur baby has a weak immune system and will be fighting plenty of bacteria without having to deal with other preventable encounters.
