my baby sleeps for 6 hours and then needs a feeding and then he sleeps about 4 more hours. He is 3 months old now.
In the first 2 months though he woke up to be nursed every two or three hours for 10 hours.

Up until a few months ago, it was a very interrupted 4-5 hours. However, now that she is sleeping from 8 pm-6 am, it is about 6 1/2-7 hours once the laundry, lunches, dishes, etc. are all done.

I have a 12 month old and a 28 month old, and I get about 6 hours per night. I still wake up at least once a night...habit I think. :) I could go to bed earlier, as I'm usually pretty tired, but after the boys go to bed is the only peace and quiet I get during the day, so I prop my eyelids open with toothpicks and take some time for myself to read, play on the computer, etc. :)

I usually get about 7, give or take - BUT this is interupted sleep...I am up atleast once to nurse her...so probably I get 4 hours, get up for 1/2 hour, and then 3 more hours. Some nights it's brutal, others it's not so bad. Expecially if I get 8 hours and she only gets up once...My daughter is 6 months old

Oh my. I have 6 boys and have not had a decent night sleep in the last 15 years. But don't fear it does get better the older they are until they turn teenagers and then they want to be up all night playing the video games and arguing about whos turn it is. I think by the time your baby is 2 until he turns 12 you should get some good rest. Unless of course they are sick and then it will be back to sleepless nights. Sorry welcome to motherhood.

4 1/2 newborn and 6 1/2 at a year. The trick is to sleep when they do during the day to make up that missed sleep.

My first son ( now 3) I wanted to kill he slept for only 40 minutes no matter if it was bed time or nap time and then the stinker would stay awake from 10pm to 4 am every day and then wake up again at 440am. I wanted to let him cry but his daddy couldn't take it.
My baby now about to be 5 months on Monday sleeps 4 to 6 hours now he is teething so it varies.

It really depends on my day and how stressed I am. I have 3 girls ages 10yrs., 8yrs. and 6months. I used to get atleast 9hours sleep. Now I just get maybe 2 to 3 hours. My kids are off the schedule of sleep pattern since their dad started working these really messed up hours. And also my youngest is teething. So I really don't get to sleep much, on top of it, I can't take naps during the day because I run my in home day care. So it is very hard.
