Wouldn't you rather see them give it up for adoption then put it in a trash bag and throw it the river or dumpster?? Maybe when they had the baby they realized that they weren't stable enough or able take care the baby, maybe they were raped and couldn't take care of it cause of that, maybe the were way to young to be a parent...There are a million reasons why they do this and it is good at least we know that they are taken care of. I would rather see it up for adoption then thrown away or aborted. These parents are very brave to do so and was thinking of the child at the time. They do it cause they love the child and want a good home for him/her. Why in hell would you want a law against it? Adoption is a wonderful thing. People that can't have children can adopt these wonderful children.

Sometimes the parents make a mistake, they are too young or cannot financially care for a baby. It is a lot of work and expensive to have a child and raise them. I would choose adoption over abortion any day, if I was young and knew I couldn't give the child the life they deserve. There is nothing wrong with adoption, it is really a sacrifice for a mother to let her child be raised my another family so the child can have a better life than she could offer. To sum it up, it takes an extraordinary person to let their child go, so the child can have a better life. I wish more people did it.
It would be better to have a law to find bad parents who want to keep and raise their children; rather than a law to dissolve the option to adopt.

I would much rather see a woman give her baby up for adoption to a loving and caring family rather then drown it in a tub, throw it in a lake, or a trash dumpster or some sick thing like that. Sometimes in life a woman for whatever reason can not take care of the child and I think adoption is a great option for them. It also gives a couple that may not be able to have a child the chance to have one. Why would they put a law against adoption. Maybe you should sit back and rethink your question..

No it's not right to give up your child... But some people do so not to be selfish... In some cases it's so that child may have the things the parent can't give them... and if the parent can't make ends meet just for them selves it's not right to bring another human into the world and let him or her go with out.. So if a person has a child and can't do the right thing by that child, they do the most unselfish thing they can... They let the child go to someone who can give them what they need... In this day and age it's not enough just to love a child u have to be able to provide for it... their are so many diffrent opions on this subject, that no one has the right or wrong answer... Everyone has to do the right thing as they see fit...

You'd rather the kid die? You'd rather millions of families who can't have children continue to suffer childlessness? That's cruel.
They typically give them up because they are unable to properly care for the child on their own, because the baby would have a better life elsewhere, and because they didn't want the baby to die because of their actions. When a 13 yr old gets pregnant her first time having sex, she's usually already poor. She's mentally incapable of parenting a child, as she's a child herself. She also is not legally old enough to work in any state, therefore she can't financially provide for the child. She's emotionally unable to deal with this kind of responsibility and would be more likely to abuse the lil one if she kept her baby. Her quality of life would also suffer, as she'd be unable to go to college due to the need to work full time, possibly have to work a full time and a part time job because she has no college education, and would have trouble in the friends and romance department. Men view kids as baggage, so she's unlikely to find a guy that'll want to date her until much later in life, or she'll be more likely to find a man who will abuse both her and her baby. Friends will be hard to come by because her peers won't have children.
Furthermore, she understands that millions of families in the US are waiting to adopt children, often spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars on babies from overseas because so many women in the US use abortion as birth control. There just aren't enough US babies to go around.
So there should instead be a law that these little lives be spared and given to families that want them. Actually, there used to be, but Roe v. Wade destroyed that and declared an all-out war on the unborn.

There could be lots of reasons.
If a person feels that they cannot provide a safe secure environment that a child needs to grow and be healthy, they may give up a child with the hope that the baby goes to a family who desperately want a child and are ready to open their hearts.

A lot of people give there babies up for adoption if they cant take care of it then i would rather see someone who can. If a teen has a baby and no support thats a reason for adoption or an idividual was raped and got pregnant and didnt want to abort the babies adoption is great for them purposes. I havent givin up a baby to adoption. Think about it the people who cant concieve on there own adopt thats were theere kids come from. There is notthing wrong with it.

Sometimes it is hard for a person to take care of the baby or maybe they are dying and want to place the baby in a good home. Sometimes it is just that the perosn was raped and don't want to bear the burden of bringing up the baby. It is a difficult choice. I don't think there should be a law prohibiting it because sometimes it is good for the baby to be given up for adoption.

I have never given one of my children up for adoption but I guess they give their child up so that the baby will have a better life that the mom can not provide. If people never gave their kids up for adoption then people who could not have kids would never be able to experience being a parent.

So it would be better for a woman to keep a child that abuses them, or does drugs in front of the child or has no money to feed that child than for that baby to go to a home that has parents that will love and protect them and be able to financially support them. Get Real.
