You begin to learn your particular baby's cries as you get to know each other and bond. You also go through the list of basic needs -
Is baby wet/dirty?
Is baby hungry? (Rooting, sucking on fingers, hands, turning in to chest of person who is holding him)
Is baby sleepy? (Cranky, rubbing eyes, etc.)
Maybe baby just wants to be held? (After all, prior to birth they felt mom around them 24/7...being held is a real NEED for a newborn.)

Good question! Sometimes you can't tell what a baby wants and you just have to try a lot of things. Sometimes they are hungry, or need a diaper change. Other times they might just be bored or sleepy. I always wondered, when my sons were babies, if sometimes they had an itch somewhere and obviously couldn't scratch it!!

It's hard to be the parent of a new baby! You will get to know your baby better than ANYONE else!! Best wishes!

All babies have different cries for different things that they want. You will be able to pick up on these in no time. Before I could tell my sons cries apart and I figure out what was wrong. I just started trying the basic four things, change, feed, cuddle, and if none of those work give them a bath they love to be bathed and within 30 mins they are asleep.

When you first have a baby it seems you have no idea how to take care of their needs. After awhile you will learn that they look or cry a certain way when they need a particular thing such as a nap or a bottle. Every baby is different so each individual parent needs to learn their own baby's ways. It takes time, but after awhile you'll be a pro.

First they just want to sleep. If the baby sticks its lips out at you, then you should give the baby space. Talk to your newborn as often as you can. Don't let people kiss your baby in the face and feed your baby as much as he/she wants to eat. Plaese give your baby a lot love. Babies can also sense fear. Tehy also know when someone is around youthat has a demonic spirit.

A baby's way of telling you when he needs something is crying and its up to you to figure it out, because the baby knows what he wants he just cant tell you so he cries.

Hi.Are you a first time parent? If so, it can be hard for you!! You will have to learn with your baby. Each time a baby cries it will sound different depending on what the baby needs.
If you had just fed your baby and she is squirming then you should check her diapers.
If baby just woke up and is fussy, show her the bottle or hold her up to your breast.(give baby water too)
If you have fed your baby who just woke up and she is still fussy, try giving her a bath.
If baby just woke up,is fed and bathed, try moving baby around(make sure to burp first) and play and talk to baby.
Baby may fall asleep again after all that.
I'm a mom,GOOD LUCK!!

A new born is hard to tell. Once the baby gets older, then it is a little bit easier. Just keep the baby on a schedule, then that way it might get a little bit easier.

With babies they communicate with their cries. They have different cries for different needs. After a while you will learn your babies own unique cries for what they want. At times though it can be confusing, you just have to try and figure them out by trial and error.
