He's 9 mos. old and I don't feed him when he wakes. I let him cry it out/give him his pacifier. I don't know why he continues to wake at that hour. After I let him cry it out, he usually sleeps until 6;30 or so, which is fine. How do I break the cycle of 5 am wake up???

I feed my baby formula with a spoon as she just will not take the bottle, I am o k with that and she is less frustrated. Lately I have noticed that I have to do the wierdest things to keep her entertained and interested in wanting to eat and basically open her mouth. She doesn not open her mouth willingly I have to keep tapping her on her cheek for her to open her mouth. SHe gets bored and wants to jump out of her chair or she is hit my hand and throw the food. She is an avg size baby and has been a fussy eater from day one
She eats 3 sold meals and has formula three times a day. Every feeding is ecoming cumbersome as I am running out of ideas
I put her in front of the tv and show her baby einstien dvd's she's bored
Please help

I was just noticing that the leader on the pregnancy board is someone called Professional_Mother. Now, if you look at the statistics, she has been a member since April 15, 2006. That is 95 days. She has answered 4956 questions. If you do the math, she is spending hours on the computer each day answering at least 52 questions a day. What do you suppose her kids are doing in all that time? Are they watching TV? Does she give them sleeping pills so they sleep all day? Do they have to beg to be fed at lunch> I wonder about professional_Dad. Do you think he gets pissed when the kids are dirty and the house is trashed when he gets home after a long day of work? I bet it's interesting.

My daughter who is now 4 spoke at least 30 words at 16 months, however my 16month old son only says about 3. A few months back is vocab was probly about 7 words but he no longer uses or seems to remember many of them. I am a stay at home mom so he gets plenty of attention & nurture. But the more I see my friends 13 month old the more concerned I become. I points and grunts alot, and makes a few gestures but will not even try and ask for a drink when he is thristy or ask for food when hungery. Do I have anything to be concerned about?

The "cry it out method" or Ferber Method is something I will not do with my baby. I have already tried it and it is an approach I am not comfortable with.

Ok, this is my son's diet right now. He drinks one bottle early in the morning, eats a big bowl of cereal midmorning, drinks a bottle early in the afternoon about 1, eats 2 jars of baby food for supper, and drinks a bottle of milk with rice before bed. Is this a normal diet for a 7 month old? It seems to be working for us.

Mine seems to be small, but my pedi is not concerned. (I'm not either, just wondering if most are smaller little people) Everyone comments on my baby being small. She is almost 5 months and weighs 14 lbs. (7 lbs at birth).
