Ok, this is my son's diet right now. He drinks one bottle early in the morning, eats a big bowl of cereal midmorning, drinks a bottle early in the afternoon about 1, eats 2 jars of baby food for supper, and drinks a bottle of milk with rice before bed. Is this a normal diet for a 7 month old? It seems to be working for us.

My son does eat a lot at one sitting, but he was 10lbs at birth and required more food from the very beginning. Also my older son was 10lbs at birth and he was fat. But as soon as he started to walk, it all dropped off of me and he is very lean, now.

Seems OK but I'd cut out the rice from the last feed and get him off the jars and onto real food.
Finger food will aid his mental and motor development, it has the added bonus of introducing differing tastes that will lessen the chances of him becoming a fussy eater and it's better for him.
Try cottage pie, or lasagne or mashed up veg with cheese. Give him little bits of carrot, grapes, banana etc to chew on.
You're doing fine but could up the ante a little.

Babies eat in mysterious ways the nutrition your baby needs my not be what another baby needs. But if his diet contiues to grow try seperating his in take. like let him eat 5 little meals a day instead of 3 big meals. also try giving him 2 8oz bottles of water a day. That will help with his diet. It is only natural for your child to eat food wont kill him just make sure it is not very fatty foods he is eating most of the time.
Good luck and your baby is fine!!!

"Normal" is such a joke when it comes to babies...as long as he's gaining weight at a healthy rate and isn't showing developmental delays, it sounds like you guys are doing great! Two jars for dinner does sound like a lot at one sitting, but again, every baby is different. By the way, it's awesome that he's on a good schedule like that...Congrats on a healthy little one!

The mix is alittle different but that is about what we are giving our daughter.
Make sure he is getting plenty of milk/formula he needs the liquid. 28-36 ounces a day.

sounds good to me! as long as he isn't crying for more, then i would assume he is happy--although i would probably add a fruit baby food to his midmorning cereal, and make sure dinner is a fruit/veggie combo. you might also want to try and start him on "finger foods". cheerios are a good start, so is the little gerber snacks for babies. just be careful, babies that are just starting out on finger foods tend to choke on them easily. make sure he sucks on them first or gums them to pieces before he swallows them. :-)

i don't be conscious of roughly vegetarian ingredients yet you mustn't provide a toddler eggs or honey in the previous one three hundred and sixty 5 days. The honey has micro organism in it it somewhat is risky and the eggs additionally. additionally determine your toddler is getting protein, perhaps from beans.

If it is working, he is healthy, gaining weight, wetting and pooping adequate amount of diapers, then it is ok for him. I personally think at 7 months he still needs more formula.
