No, you shouldn't worry. First of all, average age for crawling is 6-11 months (see sources section below). Second, some babies *never* crawl; they find a different way to get around. I don't remember exactly when my kids started crawling, but there is a *wide* range of what is normal!!

No, don't worry. Each baby progresses differently. With the back to sleep campaign, less babies are crawling then before because they have less opportunity and sometimes don't build the strength in the upper body to crawl. Babies can skip crawling all together and go straight to walking. My daughter was 6 months old when she started crawling and starting walking at 8 months. (I'm not lying.) My son on the other hand is 6 months old now and is barely trying to scoot across the floor.

Crawling is not a neccesaryl milestone for a baby to start crawling. I know I've read it in a trillion different books but the main one you can check out is listed below. I wouldn't worry about it. Babies do what they are ready for. Everyone is different. My son is 4 months old and he's getting it down.

Don't worry, all babies are different. I had four kids. The first crawled between 7-8 months, the second at 5 months, the third at 8 months and the fourth at 7 months. My sisters first baby didn't crawl until 10 months!
Don't worry! But if you are, talk to your babies pediatrician!

I don't think you should worry. I have twin boys 9 months old. The oldest of the two just started crawling and the younger baby is not yet. I also have a 4year old son he didn't craw at all. He just started pulling up and walking soon after.

Definitely not. My girls didn't crawl until they were around 9 to 10 months old. As long as your baby is doing other things like rolling over and sitting up, don't be worried.

6 months is the age a lot of babies start to crawl. Some babies crawl later than that, and there is nothing wrong with their development. He'll start when he wants.

Oy. One year old. He would reach forward while keeping one leg under him so he could sit back up. Then one day he figured out how to get back to sitting from his stomach and that was it. Within three days he went from sitting like a lump to crawling all over the place.

Crawling is NOT a developmental milestone. In any case, six months would be very, very early. Just don't let it bother you. Your child will be crawling, walking and getting in all sorts of trouble soon enough.
