I went to the Caribbean with my daughter for 2 weeks when she was 2 months old and I'm going this fall again with my new baby when she is 1 1/2 months old.

Just make sure to ask your Pediatrician if there is anything special that you need to do based on the area of the world that you will be visiting, like have some early shots or some kind of medication for emergency situations.

My main concern would be about the infant becoming ill from the plane ride. The air is recycled in the cabin and if there's a sick person on board, there's a decent chance there will be a lot of sick people by the time you land. Two months is very young for such extensive travel, but it's been done many times before without a problem. I'd talk with your pediatrician about it and make sure the baby doesn't have any ear problems before going to such 'heights' and make sure you're totally prepared for unexpected occurances (like making sure you have extra diapers, wipes, clothing, Tylenol, etc.) Where are you planning on going?

I travelled 9 hours by air alone with my 6 week old baby and back when baby was 4 1/2 months old. It was not difficult. U get good seat and a bassinet for the baby,People r kind. Travel light. U have to breast feed while taking off and landing (which is difficult).

But I am not sure about d country u r going 2 - sorry

I think it's fine. I did it when my daughter was 3 months old. It's actually a *great* time to travel, as they don't get into everything--all they need is you!!

That's up to you and the baby's Dr. If you do go make sure you take plenty of formula and baby water (if you're not nursing) in case what they have over there is different that what the baby is used to.

yes, it's safe. Much safer than travling overseas 8 months pregnant. make sure you nurse him/her alot (or bottle) so their ears don't get clogged. Otherwise, not a problem. Oh, and make sure they are up to date on shots.

I would wait honestly. It depends on where overseas because he hasn't had all of his vaccinations and there are diseases overseas. I would wait...to be safe.

my 1st thought is NO, but thinking about it at this day and age everything is more sanitary, but it all depends on where u r going and how long u r staying. think about it.
