What my wife did was when they bite, and they will, they got disconnected. After a while our boys learned that if they want mommy they will need to stop biting. It became easy after that to wean.

Experts say, if he's hungry, he'll be sucking. If he's just screwing around, he'll tend to bite. Only feed him when he's hungry. However, if you're set on stopping (by the way....GREAT JOB!! 10 months is a wonderful amount of time to nurse) pick two times that are the most special to you to nurse (morning and night?) And then replace the others with a sippy cup (too late to introduce a bottle, and he's well beyond that developmentally) then after a couple days of that, replace the next feeding, keeping your most fav for the last, after a couple days of that, he'll be ready to stop. Make sure you give him lots of hugs and kisses that week, so he doesn't think you're rejecting him. Keep your breasts out of sight from him for a couple weeks....when he sees them, he may want them....out of sight, out of mind. Good luck!!

give him a bottle that is like the nipple one of the baby companies make these. If at all possible when it is time to feed him get someone else to do it, you can still provide breast milk for the feedings but the teeth must hurt. good luck

I nursed my oldest son until he was over 2 years old, he had teeth when he was 4 months old. if he really loves it he won't bite you. breast feeding is the best thing for your child and i think you should do it just as long as you can. at least until he is 1 year old.

www.lalecheleague.org See if they have a contact in your area. Start offering a bottle or sippy cup at various times of the day. Then, replace a feeding with it. Do this gradually. I know it is hard, been there, done that.

STOP! He is not in love, that's a little odd, he's your baby! Hand him a sippy cup and tell him mommy is done with that now, your teeth hurt mommy its time you moved on to these. You are a big boy! He will get over it or be very hungry!

He should be onto cup by now. Just introduce it slowly and keep him away from your breasts.

I did read a post where a woman put lemon juice on her nipples and her baby soon went of the taste!! LOL!

Bit extreme but might be worth a go?
