Mine seems to be small, but my pedi is not concerned. (I'm not either, just wondering if most are smaller little people) Everyone comments on my baby being small. She is almost 5 months and weighs 14 lbs. (7 lbs at birth).

Yes, because they are physically smaller people so the children would tend to be smaller.. Forget the percentiles. My son was in the 5th percentile for many years. He was 19 pounds at 12 months. He is white though..

But was extremely small.. And now he is 17, 130 pounds and 5'7;-) Don't worry so much, you will have much more to worry about, and if you let every little thing worry you, you will go nuts, trust me..lol

He is my only child, and we adopted him when he was 12 months old.

I don't know if thats true for all Guatemalan babies, but if she is adopted from Guatemala then she probably is going to be in the lower percentiles as are most babies from other countries. I know a baby who was adopted from China and she was around a year old and only weighed 13 lbs.
