It's been 2 days no bowel action. I can tell he does not feel well. He is very fussy and draws up his legs, and cries. His mother does not seem to concerned, however she is a very good mommy. I do not want to be to much in her business, but he is my grandson and I am very concerned? What's a grandma to do?

She's been sleeping in her car seat until we started trying to switch to the crib a week ago. When she's in her crib, she gets so restless. She's mostly asleep, but tosses and "starts" a lot. She also wakes up every three hours to eat again, where she used to sleep comfortably through the night in her car seat. What can I do to help her get good sleep in her crib?

My son is now almost 5 months old & still will NOT sleep longer than 3 hours at a time. He's been on solids for a while & gets a full bowl of rice cereal before bed along with 3 or 4 ounces of formula. Letting him cry is not an option because we have a room mate that works long hours & gets little sleep as it is (not to mention we tried it once & he cried for an hour & a half before we couldn't take it anymore). He's not hungry when he wakes up, he just wants to be held. We try to not pick him up, by just patting his butt & rubbing him & talking to him, but that rarely works & when it does he'll wake up an hour later. We have a night time routine & he falls asleep well, just not long. He gets put in bed anywhere between 10pm-11pm & will only sleep until 1am or 2am at the latest. He wakes up & goes back to sleep & sleeps until 4...the only until 6:30 or 7 & then he's awake for the day at 8am. He takes 20 minutes naps (3) throughout the day & won't sleep longer there either. Any tips on making the flight easier on my daughter (5 months) as well as everyone else? And don't suggest a sedative, benedryl, paragoric, etc. She'll be sitting on my lap during the flight. We have one layover. Traveling with us will by my 3 1/2 year old and my mother-in-law (I'm thrilled that she's willing to help). Normally, I'd avoid traveling until she's older, but we're moving and I'd rather fly than drive the 16 1/2 hours with 2 young kids.

My wife needs a little "love you" present to brighten up her day, and I'm out of ideas. She's not the 'flowers' type.

Chocolates?

Massage at a day spa?

Breakfast in bed?

New mothers, what would you want?

I really need girl names. I don't want common names though. Also DO NOT write long lists of names that you got from websites. Just write a few names or a small list. I would like cute names! I will select best answer and you'd get 10 points!!!

Don't get me wrong, Im sure having a child is a very special thing...but there are some women who expect the world to stop to a hault just becuase little Johnny Crotch Nuggett and Mommy and her three other new mommys are marching down the street, 3 across, all pushing the latest and greatest in expensive baby buggies. These are the same women who take Baby Pilates and flood the parks with outdoor "Mommy and Me" classes in the spring. I don't know about you but I think its pretty pathetic. Did you have a child because you wanted one and PLANNED for it? OR did you have one because they are the latest fashion accessory? Or did you just get knocked up and said oopps!! Oh well. I am sure I am going to get a lot of hateful answers but I could really care less. I just want to know if there is anyone out there who knows what I mean.

I am a new mom of a 4 week old baby boy. Most of the time he sleeps very well and soundly. But there are times he will cry out while sleeping but not wake up. He cries out and goes right on sleeping. Is there anybody else whose baby does this and knows if it's normal or ok?

We are suspicious of the baby being allergic to stuff my wife eats. Only thing strange my wife ate last night was one cup of chocolate icecream. Could that be it? If it is a fissure, what is the best method or medical exam to diagnose it?
