Is the move hard on you!? ! ? !!!!!!!
Your baby is old enough now to be familiar with surroundings, but not old enough to be upset by a change in surroundings.
UNLESS you show you are stressed and upset. Babies have little to rely upon in regards to survival knowledge, so they rely on instinct still. Just make sure baby has comfort toys/blanket/whatever and you don't show you're stressed.
All will go well. There will not be any lasting adverse effects of the move. Good luck.

Baby's do love routines and predictability. But they're also amazingly adaptable. We moved from my in-laws' house when my son was 8 months. He loved the change. He was finally in a baby proofed house where he could roam freely. It was small enough that he could find find everything (and everyone) with ease. It was easier for us to keep a routine that centered around him and not what everyone else was doing. And it was less stressful for us as parents -which babies really pick up on.
Good luck.

he will absolutely adjust, as long as his favorite people are with him, ( mom and dad) and the routine remains the same. he's 4 months old and his world revolves around his needs, food, diaper changing, and the comfort from those who love him. he may be aware of subtle changes such as lighting, sounds, and even scents, but if you are there to comfort him when his instincts become a little concerned that things are "different" he'll soon know that all is OK. best of luck with your transition!!

Of course he will. He might feel a bit uneasy at first, but a little bit of extra comforting will ease that. Babies are far more flexible than older kids - when you're ripping out of an environment they're used to and away from their friends.

He is still so young, it won't be hard for him to adjust, unless he had a very tight bond to his grandparents, and if the weather is very different there....but actually, at that age, i don't think it would be hard at all....as long as he always has the care and love from his loving parents, he will be okay....

As long as you take the same cot, toys, sheets etc that the baby`s used to, then it`ll be fine.
As long as you remain calm and dont act differently, the baby will soon adjust to its new surroundings!

Oh yeah, he'll be cranky because everyone else is stressed and because babies don't like their routines disrupted, but he will adjust. We moved around lots with our first, never bothered her one bit.

He won't even notice. A little older I would say he might wake up disoriented and be a little scared, but they adjust quickly.

people do not remember their first year of life. that's why many babies have their ears pierced in thsi time so that they don't remember the pain. he won't adjust, because he won't remember. he might be a little cranky at first, but it won't be long before he stops.

hmmmm. Are you kidding? Joke, right? 4 months?
Maybe if you said 4 years, I wouldn't be giggling right now. Give the kid a bottle, a binkie, and a crib. They ask for no more.
