If he is not cutting teeth, it could be an ear infection.

Is he drooling? Could be teething. Teething tabs are the best thing for that. How long does the fever last? Is it a high temp? Did he pull at either of his ears? That could be ear infection, but if it does not last long probably teething. Give the little fellow a washcloth that you have dampened and put it in the freezer for a short time and let him chew on it. If it is his teeth the rough texture and coldness of the cloth will make him a happy camper.

my daughter did that until she was about 2 and a half. i would take her to the doctor and never would find anything but fever.doctor said do not worry unless fever gets too high.(over 102.) she is now 8 and is very healthy and does not have the fever problem anymore.

He might have an ear infection even though he is not pulling on his ears. Get it checked out - it can cause permanent damge to the ears if not treated. He also may have a urinary tract infection, which is painful when urinating. You should also get this checked out.... Best of luck

he might b getting teeth feel inside his mouth and see if u feel lump that means he is getting teeth if not he need to see a doctor

My vote is teething.... maybe you could feel around in his mouth for hard spots on his gums.
