I have a five month old, he will never sleep more than three hours in a row and has certainly never slept 7 hours in a row. He has not been taking a bottle at night since he was 2 months old so I can't figure out why he will not sleep a full night. It's like all he needs is 3 hours to rested and then he is ready to get up and play again. I do rock him to sleep at night, that seems to be the only way to get him to go to sleep. All of my friends children sleep 7 to 8 hours at night and I would give my left leg to get even 6 hours uninterrupted sleep. Any advice on better sleeping habits? Is there something that I'm not doing causing him to be this way?

When she was born she weighed 7 ibs. 2 oz.
Now she's 8 ibs. 10 oz. I've been feeding by bottle sometimes and sometimes the other way depending on if I'm home or not.
When I'm not my husband gives her a bottle.

She can say: uh-huh,uh-uh,
nana,papa,
ma,pa,
mommy,and daddy.

I do everything I'm supposed to. I just don't know why she's so thin! She looks like she weighs 6 pounds!
Her disablity called False Appearence Disoder aka F-A-D
was discover Jan.2006! It makes her look and feel just like a doll!
People even said to my face:"She's a fake!" She's not really a baby!" She sleeps w/ her eyes open too!
How can I help her get to an average weight?
-Sarah

My daughter is 6-months-old and has been exclusively breastfed. She had colic the first 3 months and would scream between 4pm and 8pm every night. The only thing I could do to soothe her in the slightest was nursing-thus, I would nurse her to sleep every night. However, I still nurse her to sleep at night (takes about 30 min and then she goes straight to sleep in her crib)...If I dont nurse her, she will just scream in her crib. Nothing else will put her to bed - rocking, singing, or any other type of soothing does not work. The only thing that works is nursing. My husband says that i am ruining her by nursing her to sleep and that she will never learn how to fall asleep on her own. Am I making a mistake by nursing her to sleep? It works for us. But, I am very worried about the future. I dont want to create a monster by not having her learn to soothe herself. And I am not willing to just let her scream herself to sleep. Has anyone had this problem? what happened? what should I do?

When Igot him home and took off his shirt he has a slight rash on his back can barely see it but its alot of little red dots. Is it heat rash? He was outside for part of the dya and it was pretty warm. What else could it be? If it is still ther in the morning I'm bringing him in but would like to have some idea what it is.

What do you think of either name?

Ellery Anne
or
Emerson Lynn

our last name also is a E I was avoiding the E's because of this but I really like these 2 names. Our other 2 children also got names that are surnames and have been used by both gender. I think that these names fit as well. but looking for some thoughts.

thanks!

I am really worried about my son- he is 1 yrs old and has not crawled or walked yet :-( He likes to walk when supported, and can hold on to furniture for a short while but lets go after a few minutes. He rarely sis up on his own but can sit upright when helped. He has a big head (Like his dad) and the pediatrician thinks that is why it's taking him a while. Any one have any ideas or ways to motivate him to walk? he likes his walker, but he is too tall for it now :-(

Thanks!

I have my 5wk old son on enfamil gentleease because he was extremely gassy and now that it has corrected itself for the most part I want to put him back on enfamil lipil. I plan on easing him back in by mixing the formulas. Is this ok? Also I have heard that Nestle Good Start is a better formula -- anyone have advice on that as well? Thanks!!!
