They are basically the same

Too funny I asked this same question several weeks ago. My daughter had no problems with the switch. This is what I found out with all my research....the FDA regulates all formula so it is just as nutritious, etc. The ingredients are almost the same, luckily my daughter had no problems with the taste or the switch. You do have to be a little careful with switching any formula, some babies will get constipated or throw up, you could slowly wean her off the enfamil if your baby is prone to an upset stoamch. The only reason why Enfamil is so expensive is that they advertise and give out free samples. So, I'd say go for it!! I did it and my check book had a sigh of relief.

I used Target brand formula for my son. I talked to his Dr. about switching from Enfamil to the Target before I did. I read all of the labels and his Dr. told me that everything is regulated by the FDA...every formula no matter what brand has standards and requirements to meet. I never had any problems with the Target formula...not even clumping! It's $12 cheaper per can, and every bit as good as Enfamil.

When we switched I used 3/4 of Enfamil formula and 1/4 Target formula for 3-4 days. Then I did 1/2 Enfamil and 1/2 Target for 3-4 days, then 1/4 Enfamil and 3/4 Target for 3-4 days, then all Target. He adjusted perfectly and didn't reject it at all.

Good luck!!

Personally I don't believe that all baby formula are the same. The reason is because since my daughters birth she always drank isomil by similac. I wanted to try to get a cheaper formula so I tried enfamil and that entire night my baby non-stop. It was also soy formula that I tried with enfamil but it still didn't sit right with her.

I noticed just a few days ago that I can spend 13.88 on Isomil or spend 8.88 on Parents Choice soy formula (same ingredients) and the Parents Choice has two more ounces. This was an awesome find! Parents Choice also has awesome diapers and wipes.

All infant formulas are essentially the same. The only differences between any kinds of artificial baby milk are....

is it dairy or soy?
does it have DHA and ARA added or not?
