First off your utmost patience, loving and understanding are needed. This is the only way the child can communicate with you. Do not get angry or upset with this life you created. Go through all the basics.......... hungry, burp, too hot, too cold, diaper change, swaddled, unswaddled, needs rocked, too many clothes, not enough clothing. Call your child's pediatrician and be seen immediately. Go to your local hospital and seek help from the emergency room nurses. Please remain calm, the more upset you get the More upset they get. Always.

It sounds like the baby is colicky, which just means he gets extra gas in his stomach. I am sure the pediatrician is aware of the problem and has ruled out any milk allergies, told you if you need to use a special nipple to feed the baby, etc. I am sure that he's told you that they outgrow this at about three months or so. What you need now is a break. You need your rest. Get your mom, your friend, your husband, a trusted neighbor, SOMEONE to help out until that miraculous day when the baby stops crying. In the meantime, keep your cool (babies react from Mommy's demeanor) and pray.

Maybe he's teething. Baby orajel might work, but check out this link first. It can be uncomfortable for them long before the teeth come in. My son is also 3 mos and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Last night I rubbed a little on his gums he fussed for about a minute because it was a new sensation, then he went right to sleep.

Check he is not teething. Check he is not sick with doctor. Lots of things stop kids crying like a soothing bath, classical music, a car ride, a pram ride, a mother who is soothed herself. Look up soothing your baby on the net they will have lots of suggestions. Good luck.

umm Dr call this the blue baby stage...they sometimes cry until they are blue..just to work their lungs....if u have tried everything...put the baby in his crib and walk away..go collect ur nerves and think about chill...babies sense when their caregivers are stressed....crying will not hurt a child but a parent who is overwhelmed might...go back to the baby when u feel calm and collected. and try again....the swing was my best friend at this age

Have you tried gripe water or Ovul? They are a life saver?
If your baby is colicky it usually starts to go away after 3 months.
Good luck :)

try turning the tv to a station that doesn't come in, one where it makes the loud static noise. For some reason it worked for my brother when he was a baby
