My cousin, a girl of age 13, decided to become a vegatarian. Her younger siblings are putting her down, and her mom is telling her that she'll develope osteoperosis and all that...

What should a vegetarian eat, to prevent developing health issues? She knows to eat nuts, peanuts, and etc for like...the "good" fats I guess, but anything else she should know?

Also, what can I do to support her? Her mom, younger brother and sister are doing the opposite of helping, and her dad doesn't really care.

btw, i already asked this in food and drink- vegetarian for the nutrition stuff...so i'm just asking this question is this category for how to support her, since some of the parents here might have experienced similar circumstances, and am still asking about the food things in case anyone who sees this question knows anything.

Thanks

I am married and going to college while I work full time (school is part time) and I found out that I am pregnant. My husband is happy he wants the baby but I don't think we make enough money to comfortably support one. I want to finish school that's my number 1 (obviously baby will become number 1 soon enough) but I want to know if anyone else has been able to do it, I need some inspiration. It's going to be really hard I think :/ I take right now 2-3 classes (depending on difficulty) I have my AA and working toward BA.

Thanks in advance everyone :P

We are having our second child in June. Our last pregnancy was really hard on her yet she wanted another baby so we are having one. Already she is having some minor problems (doctor said nothing serious is going on). I was just wondering what are some things I can do to keep her relaxed and make sure everything is easy on her. So I thought I would see what other women suggest...

Me and My girlfriend had protected sex where i also pulled out early. Unfortunately she is showing a few signs of pregnancy. She has recently missed her period, by a day or two. She is also frequently urinating. Could this be a sign of pregnancy or just a late period?

2nd or 3rd pregnancy? I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my third pregnancy. However the first two were lost at the very end of my first trimester. I'm starting to get a belly on me, I'm not longer constipated as that's cleared up. I've heard that after your first pregnancy, you start to show earlier. Is it possible that that's what I'm experiencing?

I'm 37 weeks with my second child. With my first I never got an epidural, mostly because I am terrified of needles and I have some extra fat deposited in my lower back right where they would inject so I worry about them not finding the right spot (I know that sounds really retarded). I got an IV narcotic of some kind for pain with the first, which totally wore off by pushing time. HOLY COW that was the most excruciating pain there could possibly be (and yes I screamed a lot, kind of embarassing). But I felt like the queen of the world that I actually did it and women who just get epidurals don't even have a clue what labor really is!
So what are the good and bad sides to getting an epidural or not? I'm thinking it slows down labor and pushing cause you don't feel the urge to push when it's time, so pushing takes longer. Also worried about complications or having to end up with a C-section.

My son ever since he could talk (he's 7 now) he has called his sister who is 11 Pia (pronounced Pee-ah). Her real name is Natalie. We have no idea where he got that from. Even till this day he still calls her Pia. I was just curious if any other parents have kids like my son. Or is my son just strange LOL

Hey

My cousin has 2 week baby boy and this question is really for her. She wants to buy a sling or baby carrier bit isn't sure where from. Some shops sell them but i found that there is alot more variety on the internet.

She's afraid she won't know how to tie it and stuff, so do you think its better she gets it from a shop where they'll probably show her how to tie it, or should she get one from the internet.

Thanks

My baby is about 6 weeks old and I've been feeding her about 3 ounces of formula every 3 hours. Now she's been crying after she 's done as if shewants more. She stops crying within a few minutes. Should I be giving her more? 4 ounces just seems like so much.
