Sounds like you have a little character on your hands! However, she's picking up the inappropriate moves somewhere. Make sure you monitor everything she watches; don't let her watch shows in which there is "fresh" dancing, and make sure you and others aren't doing the same moves around her. How about enrolling her in a toddler/preschool dance class? That way, you can encourage her love for dancing my allowing her to learn some more appropriate moves.

Most likey picking it up from something she sees on a daily basis. My daughter's two and does this hip thing b/c she watches me do the belly dancing workout. I try to explain that it's just for in the house and for fun. As long as you don't get mad and scream at her just let her know how you feel and that it should only be done in the house in front of her parents. She's just having fun.

3-year olds just love to be on the move all the time. Kids only mimic what they see, so your daughter could have seen something on TV that stuck with her. Nothing wrong here.

I have caught my 4 year old niece doing that alot lately, and it seems to have started since she started watching Hannah Montana. When you see her doing that, remind her to be "lady like" and if she is wearing dresses or skirts, buy little spandex shorts to wear underneath if she is dancing like that in public. Once she gets older she will start to realize and be able to decide on her own that it is inappropriate. For now, just keep reminding her. Good luck!

She's only 3 - relax, she isn't able to discern the messages behind her moves. Dancing is a fun activity for her.
