I love both! I prefer Thomas as a middle name for a twin simply because it means 'twin', and names with oddly specific meanings feel weird to me if they're not appropriate.

Nicholas is great! I love the less expected but equally valid nickname Colin over the hypercommon Nick.

It's been shown in studies that boys with single syllable names are more popular, but considering either could be Nick or Tom. I think Nick sounds a lot cooler, so I'm going with Nicholas.
