We feed her baby cereal, mashed bananas in breast milk, applesauce, and baby food (stage one) veggies. She enjoys eating and thinks it is a fun "game" but when she finishes she wants her bottle and still drinks 8-10 ounces! I am pumping and feeding breast milk in a bottle and I am having a hard time keeping up with her. How do I help her understand that food is nourishment, not just fun, and help her fill up a little bit on food so she doesn't drink quite as much milk? I know she should be getting most of her nourishment from breastmilk/formula still, but I was hoping "solid" foods might eliminate a few ounces of milk per day or per feeding and keep her full longer. She really enjoys sucking and I think the bottle is soothing to her, but I have been told not to put cereal in the bottle with the milk. What should I do?

May sound dumb but I am scared =( My daughter had severe colic for about 6 weeks and I am scared that once she starts to teethe it will be just as bad?
Do they scream like colicky screams? Or is it just a general unhappy fussiness? Does it get worse at night? Are they consolable? What works best?
I know all are different, but she is my 1st and just looking for points of view. She is only 15 weeks, but it's on the horizon.

I'm 13 & in a wheelchair. my grandma has always dreamed of opening a resturant, she rented the building this morning. She always told me, "when i open a resturant you can help out there, and you'll get paid too." All my younger siblings are going to be waiters, during summer vacation, they'll get tips & a paycheck. Now my mom says i cant help out there because of my wheelchair, my grandma told me i could be a hostess or cashier. So what jobs could i do in the resturant, & also how can i show my mom that i can do them?

My lil bro just turned 3, and we are happy that he is consistently peeing in the potty but he just won't poop in the potty! He always holds it until he has a diaper on, such as at night.

Is this a new phenomenon, where young teen girls are getting pregnant so that they can have something to "love"? I have to say it wouldn't surprise me all that much unfortunately. It seems as though many girls mistake sex for love.

Is this acceptable? or would you be upset if your mom chose this name for you and she had a similar name? I like the name Zoey a lot but for a girl but do you think she would resent me for giving her that name since mine happens to be Chloe?

Eventually He Fell Asleep But I Dont Want To Have To Deal With That By The Time He Is A Year Old.....I Never Wanted The Paci In The First Place. The Hospital Gave It To Him Against My Will.

Im currently 35wks pregnant with my 1st and for the last couple of days i have been feeling really crabby and restless especially at night. i noticed when i woke up a couple of days ago how my bump had dramtically dropped. i cant feel the babys head anymore so i assume he must be enaged. i felt a pop the other day down below but nothing followed. been gettin more braxton hicks and going to the loo alot more. earlier today i had a sudden case of diarroea which seemed to be a one hit wonder because i havent had it since, but it was my second bowel movement of the day. i feel in myself that its very close. but i do fear i will have a premature baby. i havent lost my plug but i am getting shooting pains up the walls of my cervix/ vagina (cant tell which one all the time its so quick!) period pains come and go but i have had them everyday this week so far, dull aching pains in lower back and front. could anyone give me any advice on whether they think ill make it to my due date or not?

My husband only found out that he had a 10 year old daughter in Australia 6 months ago...we live in the U.K..
The Mother had kept her pregnancy from him...she passed the child off as her husbands at the time.
Now she and her husband are divorced she told her daughter about her real Dad...they are in touch...but the child is so unhappy in her life.
She is only 10 but has been to 5 different schools...her Mother was..and we think still is working as a prostitute in massage parlours...she has relationships with unstable men and her sister took out an injunction against her...the woman never takes her daughter anywhere...she always seems to be in the flat...doesn't even own a bike...she looks healthy in photos...and I am not saying the Mother abuses her in any way...but she neglects her and is ignorant of her own childs unhappiness....MY husband and I cannot afford to visit yet...we have a toddler and a new baby on the way...what can we do? I want to check the girl is looked after

ok the bras i wear are push up bra's but not the really thin ones just the regular one. i wore a size 34b pre pregnancy and yesturday i went bra shopping and found the same push up bra but the 34b fit a bit weird liek the cup looked alil too small for my boob so i tried a 34c and it fits perfect. so did my boobs really go up a cup size (it doesnt look like it) or is it cuz of the padding ..so it doesnt count? im kinda confused on how to look at this. ..lol by the wya i suck at buying bras its so confusing to me..haha

Can she take oral contraceptives? I am worried it might harm our baby as I heard some chemicals go in the mother's milk. I also heard oral contraceptives may cause cancer. If my wife regularly breastfeeds my baby can we atleast have sex and be sure she does not get pregnant for the next 5-6 months?

Some argue that it can be good because it makes alcohol seem less like a forbidden temptation and makes them less likely to get drunk and crazy as soon as the opportunity comes up. Others argue that it plants seeds for alcohol problems because drinking becomes a part of the kid's life a little too early. What do you think?

I'm 37.5 weeks pregnant and am so ready for this baby to come! I just finished work on Friday and my head is all wrapped up in seeing this baby! I've got most of the stuff ready for her arrival, but am having a hard time relaxing as I'm just so excited. What did you do to distract yourself while you were awaiting the arrival of your baby? This is my first, so a lot of friends have told me to just enjoy these last couple weeks of quiet! But...I'm just too excited. I almost need a project to keep my mind off it! Thanks for you help!

As many women should know, if you are on the pill and you miss some you may ovulate at anytime during that month. So your missed period may not be at the normal time to test for pregnancy so how long should someone wait to see if they are pregnant after actually having sex?

I am just wondering. I have 2 children my daughter just turned 5 yesterday and my son is almost 18 months old. My husband and I are wanting to have more children. I kind of want to start trying now, but my husband wants to wait for another year that way our kids will be at least 3 years apart. What do you think?? If I were to conceive within the next month or two my son would be about 2 years old when I had our next child. Is that a good age gap?

for Christmas. I tried to make it work on her tiny bed but it's just way too big. I have decided to just give the comforter to my older daughter until my toddler goes into a twin bed. The comforter is so cute and I would hate it having to not be used for another year. Is this wrong, should I just make it work as best I can on her bitty bed or fold it up and put it in the closet until my toddler is in a big bed? Or does it not matter me using it for my older daughter? I told my parents when they went shopping that she was in a toddler bed and they bought the comforter anyway. What would you do?
