My lil bro just turned 3, and we are happy that he is consistently peeing in the potty but he just won't poop in the potty! He always holds it until he has a diaper on, such as at night.

My friend's son is 3 and a half and had this same exact problem. He just started pooping in the potty about 3 weeks ago. What finally worked was that they didn't put any diapers/pull ups on him at all. It was a messy few days, but he finally got it. She struggled with potty issues for a long time. Good luck!

Tell him that he needs to use the potty to poo and pee. Also tell him that big boys use the potty to pee and poop and only little boys need diapers. That'll get him interested FAST.

My daughter is almost 3 and refuses to be potty trained. I have no idea what to do. I take pride in being a good mom and when it comes to potty training I can't seem to do anything right.
